Vodafone launches VoLTE services in Maharashtra and Goa, Rajasthan

Vodafone launched VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in India last month starting from Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat. Now it has launched VoLTE in Maharashtra and Goa, and Jaipur and Jodhpur in Rajasthan, which will soon expand in other cities of the state soon. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in four color variants in India on 14th February. The smartphone duo went on sale for the first time in India on 22nd February and company claims to have sold over 3 lakh units under 3 minutes followed by a 2nd sale on 28th February, but only Black and Gold variants were available in both sales. Spectra selects Nokia for expansion of 1 Gbps broadband services across India

Spectra (formerly Spectranet) recently launched 1Gbps broadband unlimited broadband plans in Bengaluru at Rs. 1249, after Delhi NCR. Today the company has announced that it has selected Nokia’s IP/MPLS routing and GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) fiber solutions to build out its network to meet customer demand for high-performance broadband services.

Sony recently launched the RX0, the company’s latest compact camera in India. It was introduced at the IFA 2017 in Berlin last year, has a 1.0″-type stacked 15.3 MP Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, BIONZ X processor and a wide-angle ZEISS Tessar T 24mm F4 fixed lens to capture both RAW and JPEG stills and 4K video, full HD at 240 fps and super slow motion capture at up to 960 frames per second. Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ launching in India on March 6, pre-order begins same day on Flipkart, Airtel Online Store

Samsung announced the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones with new dual aperture camera, Super slo-mo and several features at its Unpacked 2018 event at the MWC 2018 earlier this week.  It also started pre-booking for the phones in India soon after the announcement. Today the company has confirmed that it will launch the flagship smartphones in India at an event on March 6th.

Amazon Prime Music launched in India, free for Amazon Prime users on Android, iOS and web

Amazon has finally launched Amazon Prime Music service in India. It was introduced last year exclusively for Echo devices in the country. It is available for Android and iOS devices and is also available on the web at music.amazon.in. There is also a Desktop app and is available on Amazon Fire TV sticks apart from Amazon Echo devices. As the company had announced previously, the service is free for Prime customers since it is included in their package, and is also ad-free.
