Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A SM-T355 (8 LTE) in India last month at a price tag of Rs. 20,500. We brought you the unboxing of the tablet recently, here we have its benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz. It has 2GB RAM, 8-inch (1024×768 pixels) XGA 4:3 display and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. LG just announced G4 Beat, the company’s latest smartphone in the G4 series and the successor of last year’s G3 Beat. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD display, is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It comes with a 13-megapixel or a 8-megapixel rear camera (depending on the region) with LED flash and Laser AF that should provide fast focus, even in low light conditions. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V (7) T116, the company’s latest tablet has been listed on the official Samsung India eStore. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. Uber can finally catch some respite as the Delhi court has lifted ban on the taxi hailing company. The court has given Uber 10 days to set out the requirements to be granted a licence to operate in the city.

Elephone has finally entered India with the launch of Elephone G7 smartphone in partnership with Snapdeal. It has a 5.5-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Lenovo sold 47,440 units of K3 Note smartphones in just 5.2 seconds in the first flash sale today on Flipkart at 3PM. It received over 538,096 lakh registrations for the sale, said the company. Even though the company sells only the Onyx Black variant of the smartphone now, it plans to bring Pearl White and Laser Yellow color variants soon. Chinese manufacturer Vivo has introduced a new ‘V’ series of smartphones in India. The company announced two smartphones – Vivo V1 and Vivo V1 Max – on Tuesday saying that these will be priced between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, and will hit stores later this month. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Huawei has launched four new smartphones, three in the Y series – Y336, Y541, Y625 and G620S in the G series. The devices will be marketed through the company’s offline distributors across 1000 stores in the initial phase, said the company. The Huawei G620S also has 4G support. All these smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Emotion UI on top and have dual SIM support.
