The Indian wing of Japan’s Sharp Corporation today launched 4 new handsets for India and made it’s way into the hugely competitive Indian Mobile market.Sharps says that it’s phones target the users who want trendy products but are  price-conscious. The company aims to make high quality mobiles highly affordable to all and plans to target the youth crowd with it’s range of handsets. Tata DOCOMO to launch 3G services in India on Nov 5th

Tata DOCOMO will be the first private operator to launch 3G services in India during this Diwal  in partnership with Japan’s NTT DOCOMO. The company will launch 3G services in 9 circles of Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP (West), Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra in 2 days 10hrs according to a countdown timer on the company’s website. Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Tab Comparison Pics

We found it easier to grip and type on the Galaxy Tab but found the large display on the iPad more fun to use. The iPad is heavier at 730g ( WiFi+3G version ) compared to the Tab at 385g. Samsung Galaxy Tab Live Pics

We were at the Samsung Galaxy Tab India launch event earlier today and had a chance to play with the device for a little while . Hardware wise the Galaxy Tab seems pretty impressive. No rough edges or creaky sounds. In short solid piece of hardware. The size of the Galaxy Tab makes it very portable. No it still wont fit it in trouser pocket, may be a coat pocket. The screen is pretty responsive and Android 2.2 FroYo is pretty fast.The only bad thing about the device is it’s Price – Rs.38000

Samsung India is launching the Galaxy Tab in India today and has not revealed the price of the device so far . Now a landing page on the Samsung India’s website takes us to online retailer LetsBuy who’s quoting a price of Rs.38000/- for the Galaxy Tab. Reliance brings SMS based mobile conferencing service in India


Reliance Communications  announced SMS based voice conference calls which is an handset independent Mobile Conferencing service as an extension to Group Talk,. This innovative  service will be available to all Reliance Mobile GSM and CDMA subscribers using any handset through the ‘SMS based Mobile Conferencing’ solution from US based Kodiak Networks. The Group Talk service will enable Reliance customers to establish a conference call amongst a group of 9 contacts with a single SMS. Samsung India just sent us an invite for an event in Delhi on Friday. While the product name is not mentioned anywhere, we are pretty sure that it’s the Galaxy Tab and nothing else as the word Tab is present in the invite.
