WishTel, the company which launched low-cost tablets IRA and IRA THING has launched their latest table IRA THING 2. It has 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) TFT Multi-Touch display and is powered by 1.5GHz processor . It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 1.3MP front-facing camera.

TRAI issues draft regulations on Quality of Service for mobile data services


The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released draft regulations on Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations. There is no quality of service standards for the mobile data services compared to wired Internet such as broadband. TRAI has decided to benchmark the quality of service parameters for mobile data services such as 2G, 3G and the 4G LTE services based on BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) spectrum. Sony Xperia go up for pre-order in India for Rs. 18999

Vodafone India announces Drive into the Big League contest for SMEs

Vodafone has announced Vodafone Drive into the Big League contest for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This is the second season of the contest for the second Indian Grand Prix that would be held in Delhi from October 26 to 28, 2012. This would offer an opportunity for small and medium enterprises to take center stage with their logo on Vodafone McLaren Mercedes racing cars. Vodafone received close to 80,000 entries for the first season. MTS launches new MBlaze plans, revises existing plans in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa

MTS has reduced their existing tariff plans and has also introduced new plans for MBlaze customers in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa Circles. Rs. 96 plan would now offer 1 GB Unlimited data with 1 day validity instead of 500MB. They have also introduced Rs. 698 plan with 4 GB of free data with 60 days validity. Other select plans would offer 2 times more data (Eg: Rs 998 that offered 3GB of free data would now offer 6GB of free data with 90 days validity). MTNL Mumbai launches new Unlimited BlackBerry Plan for prepaid customers


Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has launched Unlimited BlackBerry service plan for its customers in Mumbai circle. The new Unlimited service plans—BlackBerry BIS 399, which offers customers access to e-mail (up to 10 e-mail accounts) and instant messaging, and BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) with 384 Kbps Speed.
