Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 OTA update now rolling out in India

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update in India. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched in India in May last year running Android 4.0 ICS, and it got the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update in November last year. Intel XOLO X500 Dual SIM phone with 1.2 GHz Atom processor, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 8999

The XOLO X500 that surfaced recently has finally gone official. It is the first smartphone that is powered by the Intel’s 1.2 GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor. The phone has a 3.5 inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Lexington Z2420 processor has Hyper Threading technology which offers fast User Interface (UI) responsiveness, run multiple apps simultaneously without slowing down and also consumes less battery. It comes with a 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and it also has Full HD video playback. Dhingana launches music streaming service on mobile web

Dhingana, popular online music streaming service in India has launched its service on mobile web. This would let the users listen to music from a collection of half a million songs in 38 Indian languages and genres from the web browser on their mobile phone without downloading any external application. Lava Xolo A500 with 4-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 6999

Lava has launched the Xolo A500, new Android smartphone in the A series. The company launched the A800 and A700 few months back powered by dual-core MediaTek processor, but this has a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It comes with a 4-inch (480 × 800 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calling.  It has Dual SIM support similar to other Xolo A series smartphones. Byond launches B51 and B54 Dual SIM Android phones

Byond Tech has launched B51 and B54 Dual SIM Android phones powered by a 1GHz processor. The Byond B51 comes with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen, while the Byond B54 has a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display. These run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Both these phones have a 3MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. The Byond B54 comes with 4 GB Memory Card with pre-loaded content. Byond Tech launched the B63 with a 4.3-inch qHD screen and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) last week. Samsung to offer free flip cover, 2GB data and more with Galaxy Grand

Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082) in India today at Rs. 21,500 (MRP). At the launch event, Samsung announced that the Grand would come with Premium Flip Cover in the box and 2GB free data per month for Vodafone customers, valid for 2 months from the date of activation as an introductory offer. Consumers who purchase the phone can also download Music and Stream Movies through ‘My Series’ which has range of  services including myMovies, myMusic , myMobileTV , myStation, myReader and myEducation. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Grand in India at a launch event in Delhi. The Galaxy Grand packs a really big 5 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. If you notice in the above photo , you can find the Duos branding on the top right of the phone which is found on Samsung’s Dual SIM devices. The Galaxy Grand does offer Dual SIM functionality and Samsung is calling it Smart Dual SIM. The Galaxy Grand has been priced at Rs.21500 MRP

Micromax has announced the A116 Canvas HD, their new Flagship device. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. HTC India teases Butterfly launch on Facebook

HTC India has started teasing the upcoming launch of their flagship Butterfly Android smartphone launch on Facebook. The company posted images of the phone with a caption Guess what’s flying into town soon?. The Android smartphone was originally launched on Japan’s KDDI network back in October, released as Droid DNA in the U.S. and it was announced for global markets in December. Nokia 206 Dual SIM phone now available in India for Rs. 3599

Nokia 206 that was announced back in November last year along with the Asha 205 is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. The Asha 205 was launched in India last month. It has a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display and runs on Nokia’s Series 40 OS. It has Easy Swap Dual SIM support that lets you switch between SIM cards without turning off your phone. The SLAM feature in the phone enables multimedia content sharing between phones equipped with Bluetooth, regardless of the OS (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently).
