DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II globally at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The new 360-degree camera builds on the company’s experience in handheld imaging, aerial photography and professional stabilization systems.
The Osmo 360 II draws on 12 years of DJI’s handheld imaging experience, including distortion control from its aerial photography systems, stabilization technology from the professional Ronin gimbal series and color science developed across successive Osmo Action generations. It also builds on the company’s Osmo 360 360-degree camera and Avata 360 360-degree drone.
The camera uses a 1-inch square HDR image sensor that increases sensor utilization by 25% while reducing power consumption. It maintains the same 360-degree image field as a traditional 1-inch rectangular sensor and offers up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range with 2.4μm pixels. DJI says this doubles the brightness range.
The Osmo 360 II supports 8K/60fps 360-degree video recording and uses a high-performance chip for high-speed action. AI SuperNight 2.0 is available for low-light recording, while 10-bit color depth and D-Log M are supported across all video formats, with more than one billion colors.
Its photo and creative video modes include:
- 120MP HDR 360-degree photos
- 16K 360-degree timelapse
- Clouds mode for condensing sky movement
- 64x Pano Slow Motion using AI frame interpolation in DJI Studio, equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps
- 8K/120fps Vortex mode for 360-degree slow-motion video
For action recording, the Osmo 360 II supports stabilization for mountain biking, road cycling, skiing and motorcycling. A Sports Dashboard can overlay cycling data on videos, while Motion Blur is available for compatible footage. For motorcycling, Gesture Control and Voice Control allow recording to be started without releasing the throttle.
For skiing, the camera can operate at temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F) and can start recording with a double twist of the selfie stick. DJI also offers a 2.5m Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick. The camera can be used underwater to depths of up to 10 meters without an additional case, while the Invisible Waterproof Case allows use at depths of up to 50 meters. For vlogging, the Invisible Selfie Stick can be used for selfie-style footage, while Dual Recording can capture passing scenery and multiple people in a single frame.
The Osmo 360 II features an all-new replaceable lens design, with both lenses using an ultra-hard optical film for scratch and wear resistance. Damaged lenses can be replaced. The camera weighs 183g and has 105GB of built-in storage.
Battery life is rated at up to 100 minutes of continuous recording at 8K/30fps, while fast charging can reach 80% in 22 minutes. The Battery Extension Rod can extend runtime by 180 minutes.
Audio features include a four-microphone array and a wind-noise reduction design. OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection supports:

The camera uses a dual-direction quick-release design that enables magnetic attachment on both sides, while a 1/4-inch thread supports DJI Osmo ecosystem accessories and traditional camera equipment.
The upgraded DJI Mimo app adds Spotlight Follow, which keeps a selected subject centered as the camera rotates. A new NFC area enables one-tap connection to DJI Mimo for transferring footage or opening the editing page. For desktop editing, 360-degree video files exported from DJI Studio can be imported into DaVinci Resolve using the DJI Studio plugin.
DJI Care Refresh
DJI Care Refresh is available for the Osmo 360 II and provides replacement service for accidental damage, including natural wear, collisions and water damage.
