HCL launches ME U2, ME V1 and ME Y3 Android tablets priced between Rs. 5999 and Rs. 11999

HCL has launched three new tablets in India running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The ME U2 is the successor of the ME U1 that was launched last year. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. The HCL ME V1 comes with a similar 7-inch display, powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU and has 2G voice calling support. The HCL ME Y3 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Idea launches 3G Speed Booster plans for postpaid customers

Idea Cellular has launched new 3G speed booster plans for post-paid customers that would let them enjoy high-speed data throughout their billing cycle. These plans are aimed at high-end data users with unlimited and bill secure plans, so that they need not wait till the next billing cycle to get their original speed back, rather than being throttled to 128 Kbps after the data cap based on the plan. Idea Cellular offers 3G speeds of up to 21.1 Mbps till the respective volume of usage.

It is first-of-its kind voice based one stop solution portal for value added services. Micromax A89 Ninja with 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 6190

Micromax A89 Ninja, a new Android smartphone in the Ninja series is now on sale in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 3.97-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Mediatek MT6577 processor similar to the Micromax A110 and the A90S, that were launched last year . It has a 3 Megapixel rear camera. Videocon VT71 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 4799

Videocon has launched the VT71, a new 7-inch tablet. It has a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a VGA front-facing camera and packs a 3200 mAh battery. Videocon launched the VT10, the company’s first 10-inch tablet running Android 4.1 earlier this month. Xolo X500 benchmarks – Intel Atom Z2420 CPU and Power VR SGX540 GPU

Xolo X500 was launched in India last week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xolo X500 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 single-core processor with Power VR SGX540 GPU. The Xolo X900 that was launched in India last year is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 Medfield processor, but the new CPU is aimed at low-cost Android smartphones. Nokia, Airtel top trusted brands in India yet again


Nokia is still India’s Most Trusted Brand, according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA). Nokia retains the first position from the Brand Trust Report 2011 and the Brand Trust Report 2012. Even Airtel retains the same No. 9 spot in the rank list for 3rd consecutive year. The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2013 is the third in its series and this year the report lists India’s 1100 Most Trusted Brands from 211 categories. It comprises comprehensive primary research based on 61 attributes called the Brand Trust Matrix, conducted among 2505 influencer-respondents from 16 cities across the country. Spice Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 with 5.3-inch IPS display, Android 4.0 officially launched for Rs. 13999

S Mobility has officially launched the Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530. It was listed on online retailer Saholic earlier this week. It has a 5.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS LCD display, powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) which is upgradable to Jelly Bean. It has a 8 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Micromax A54 Ninja 3.5 is now available from online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart in India. It has 3.5-inch (480 x 320 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, has dual SIM support, runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has a 3MP rear camera similar to its predecessor, A57 Ninja 3.0 that was launched last year. HTC Butterfly launched in India for Rs. 45990

HTC has finally launched the Butterfly, their latest flagship Android Smartphone in India. It has a 5.0-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super LCD 3 display with 440ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense UI.
