Newegg, a popular online electronics retailer, has announced at the Computex 2014 event that they will soon be expanding to six new markets in addition to the four markets that they are currently operating in. The new six market that the company plans to enter includes – India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland and Singapore and the four countries where the company already operates are US, Canada, UK and Australia.

Lenovo A7-50 in the A7 series went on sale in India earlier this week. Today, the company has officially launched the tablet. It was originally announced in April along with a range of A series tablets and packs a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) that is upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Xolo Q1200 in the Q-CORE series went on sale online last week. Now Xolo has officially unveiled the smartphone. As we already know, it has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Dual LED Flash, Sony Exmor R sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Nokia launched both the Lumia 630 and the Lumia 630 Dual SIM at an event last month. The Dual SIM variant of the smartphone went on sale few days after the launch. Now the single SIM variant is on sale through the official Nokia Shop in India. Other than the lack of additional SIM card slot, it has similar specifications including a 4.5-inch FWVGA ClearBlack IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Windows Phone 8.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (SM-T331) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (SM-T531) that were unveiled back in April are now listed on official Samsung India eStore. Both these tablets have 8.0-inch and 10.1-inch WXGA displays with 16:10 screen ratio, powered by 1.2 quad-core processors and run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). These are the the 3G variants of the tablet that comes with voice calling capabilities. These have a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and feature leather-like finish on the back. Micromax has announced that it has appointed Sanjay Kapoor Chairman of the board and a part of Micromax’s promoter group. The company recently appointed former Samsung India Mobile business head Vineet Taneja as its Chief Executive Officer. Tata DOCOMO launched Photon Max Wi-Fi dongle last year. At the launch Tata Docomo offered speeds of up to 6.2 Mbps. Today the company has announced that it has upgraded the data speed of up to 9.8Mbps for the dongle since they have upgraded their network. All existing customers will automatically be able to access the higher speeds on their network as the network upgrade will be compatible with existing Photon Max Wi-Fi devices. This is currently available for customers in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. It would be subsequently extended to 8 other metro cities. Gionee launched the Elife S5.5, the world’s slimmest smartphone in India back in March that went on sale recently. We already brought you the unboxing of the device. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It is the company’s flagship smartphone that was announced back in March. Owing to migration of a large user base from feature phones to smartphones, India has recorded 186% growth in smartphone shipment in Q1 of 2014, according to IDC. The smartphone penetration in India still hovers at 10% and it is expected to grow due to a variety of factors including greater availability of low-cost devices and additional sales emphasis by top-flight vendors on less populous parts of the country.

It has a 4-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
