Micromax has launched the A88 Canvas Music, the company’s latest smartphone in the Canvas portfolio. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone was showcased at the Micromax MTV Video Music Awards in Mumbai last month. MLive app in the phone lets you download over 4 lakh songs.

Google is yet to release the Nexus 4 in India on their official Play Store, but the phone has appeared on the online retail site Flipkart at a price tag of Rs. 25,990. Google started selling the Nexus 7 through their official Play Store in India back in March 2013 and the Nexus 4 page on the Google Play said it is not available in India. The 3G version of the Nexus 7 went on sale from retail stores last month and from online retailers earlier this month, but it is not available from Google Play Store. Vodafone India has launched a new international roaming pack for its post-paid customers in India visiting countries like UK, USA, UAE, Singapore and Thailand. It offers over 90% discount on data and approximately 64% on outgoing local and international calls. This pack is aimed at customers travelling overseas during this vacation season. The pack offers over 90% discount on data with rates as low as Rs.50/MB while roaming overseas. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs. 25/min and Rs.50/min respectively. Huawei has launched E3121 Wi-Fi Data Card in India. The E3131 Soft Wi-Fi Data Card offers download speeds up to 14.4 Mbps lets you share Wi-Fi for up to 5 devices and the Huawei Soft Wi-Fi lets you transform any laptop with a Wi-Fi adapter into a Wi-Fi hotspot with a simple software. Huawei has also announced new features for its data cards range including, Plan recommendation engine, Soft Wi-fi to create Mobile Hotspot, Windows 8 Support and user-friendly Mobile partner interface via software upgrade. After the successful Aircel Blog Up event in Delhi on March 15th, Aircel conducted the Aircel Blog Up Chennai edition on 10th May 2013. At the event, K. Sankara Narayanan, Regional Head, Regional Business Head, Aircel Chennai & Tamil Nadu said that they are gearing up to start pilot run for 4G LTE services in Chennai by the end of 2013 or early 2014. Asus Transformer AiO Hybrid tablet is finally coming to India. Asus has just sent over a press invite for the Transformer AiO launch event on 22nd May 2013 in India. The Transformer AiO all-in-one PC with a detachable tablet was unveiled earlier this year. It is actually a desktop PC with Windows 8, powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core processor with NVIDIA GT 730M graphics. Spice Smart Flo Ivory Mi-450, the company’s latest budget Android smartphone is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. Spice has been teasing the phone on their official Facebook page. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It packs a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 5.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Xolo has officially launched the Q700, the company’s second quad-core Android smartphone in the Q Core series. Xolo launched the Q800, the company’s first phone with a quad-core processor back in March. The Xolo Q700 surfaced online recently. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589W-M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Along with the Asha 501, Nokia also introduced some new gear at the grand event that happened in New Delhi. Amongst the loads of accessories displayed at the event, we spotted some new ones, which includes the Nokia DC-18, a new portable battery pack launched along with the Asha. There was also the BH-118, a mono bluetooth headset with a dock, which looked weird yet useful. The above photo is of the DC-18, of which we have more photos below and the others too.
