Idea Cellular ties up with Opera to launch Idea Web Pass

Vodafone launched the Opera Web Pass for their users in India earlier this week. Today, Idea Cellular has tied-up with Opera Software to launch Idea Web Pass, that lets users enjoy customized, time-based mobile internet packages within the Opera Mini browser. Idea and Opera joined hands to launch a Co-branded version of Opera Mini for Idea Customers, back in 2012.

The Idea Web Pass would be available on Speed Dial page in the Opera Mini browser, that lets you manage web pass subscriptions. These are available on a prepaid and postpaid basis for customers on the Idea network. There are a range of Idea Web Pass packages, that include,

  • Daily Internet Pass – Rs. 8
  • Weekly Facebook Pass – Rs. 7
  • Weekly Internet Pass – Rs. 30

Opera had already revealed that mobile Internet users are growing in India day-by-day. The new packages would enable mobile internet users to subscribe to plans easily. You can download Opera browser from m.opera.com.
