Sony Xperia Z3 launching in India on September 19 [Update]

Sony is all set to launch the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India on September 19th. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and is currently on pre-order across several countries worldwide. Even though the display and the camera are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Micromax launched the Canvas Nitro A310, the company’s latest high-end Canvas smartphone earlier this week. We brought the unboxing and the photo gallery of the Canvas Nitro recently, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We already have quite a few smartphones in India powered by the same Octa-Core chip. Intex has launched Aqua 4X, the company’s latest budget smartphones in the Aqua series. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Another 40,000 Redmi 1S units will go on sale in India on September 16

Xiaomi has announced that 40,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones would be available in their third flash sale in India, similar to the first two Redmi 1S sale. It took 4.2 seconds for the company to sell all the units and in the second sale that happened earlier this week on September 9th, it took 4.5 seconds. WOO dating app for Android and iPhone launched in Delhi and Mumbai

WOO dating app that was launched last month in Bangalore, is now available for users in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. Available for Android and iOS, the app is developed by U2opia Mobile that lets you connect with singles from the same city. The app is targeted at educated, young, single professionals between the ages of 25-35 years old, says the company. The app will be launched in Chennai soon. Xiaomi Redmi 1S went on sale in India earlier this month for Rs. 5,996. We brought you the unboxing recently, here are the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8228) processor clocked at 1.59 GHz per core and has Adreno 305 GPU. Spice to sell its flagship smartphones exclusively on Flipkart

Spice Retail Limited has announced that it has partnered with online retailer Flipkart to sell its flagship smartphones exclusively on the e-commerce portal. We will have a dedicated store on Flipkart for Spice products, said the company. Spice Group has an online shopping portal called Saholic, where is sells their smartphones, apart from selling produces from other manufacturers.
