ARCHOS has announced its IFA lineup that includes Diamond S and 50e Helium smartphones running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and the 50 Cesium running on Windows 10. The ARCHOS Diamond S has a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 Octa-Core 64-bit processor, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The ARCHOS 50e Helium and 50 Cesium have similar specifications that includes a 5-inch HD display, Quad-Core Snapdragon 210 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. BLU has launched Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE Windows 8.1 smartphones on Snapdeal in India. Both these are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC. The Win JR LTE has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS screen and the Win HD LTE has a 5-inch HD screen based on one-glass-solution (OGS) technology. Both these have dual SIM support with support for 4G TDD LTE Bands 38 and 40 and FDD-LTE bands 3,7 and 20. Acer has announced Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and Aspire One Cloudbook 14 , the company latest netbooks in the new Cloudbook series running on Windows 10. These have 11-inch and 14-inch HD (1366×768 pixels) 16:9 LED-backlit displays, are powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Celeron mobile processors with 2GB of DDR3L RAM and eMMC storage of 32GB or 64GB. It comes in three variants, and the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM was launched in India in April, but the company is yet to launch the LTE version of the smartphone in the country. Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 upgrade for existing users in 190 countries who have reserved for the update. You can even reserve it now to get added to the list, confirms Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore. As the company announced earlier Windows 10 will roll out in waves for the users starting today. Windows 10 brings Cortana voice assistant to PCs, Microsoft Edge browser, New Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, People, Mail & Calendar apps, Windows Continuum, Windows Hello for secure logins and more new features.
