Movie moments and Reading List now available for Windows Phone 8.1

With the Windows Phone 8.1 update in the hands of developers in the form of a preview, Microsoft has chosen to release some of its own apps that take advantage of the new OS features and the APIs. Movie moments, a basic video editing app that takes advantage of the video editing APIs and reading List, a Read-it-later style service, have been made available for Windows Phone 8.1 as universal apps on the store. These apps were part of the Windows 8.1 update that launched for the bigger screened devices in October last year, which means we are finally starting to see some parity within Windows. Xolo Q1010i Unboxing

Xolo had launched the Q1010 back in February, but they already came back with an updated model, the Xolo Q1010i, in April, with a slightly higher price tag of Rs. 13,499. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy K zoom, the company’s latest camera-centric smartphone with a 20.7-megapixel at an event in Singapore recently. We got some hands-on time with the camera phone and also managed to compare it with some phones, including the Galaxy S5. Next to the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy K zoom looks exactly similar on the front. The Galaxy K zoom has a 4.8-inch 720p Super AMOLED display and the S5 has a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen. Both these run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with the latest Touchwiz UI. Oppo R1 officially launched in India for Rs. 26990

Oppo has launched the Oppo R1 in India. It was announced back in December last year and went on sale in India online recently. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and runs on Color OS based on Android 4.2. Videocon Mobiles has launched Videocon A29, the latest phone in the A series. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG G Pro 2 might launch in India for Rs. 49900

LG unveiled the G Pro 2, the company’s latest phablet back in February ahead of MWC 2014 and it started rolling out in Asia starting from last month. Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the G Pro 2 (LG D838) would be priced at Rs. 49,900 (MOP) in India and the MRP would be Rs. 51,500. Even though it has 10x optical zoom like the S4 zoom, this has a new retracting lens technology to make the phone’s body slim at 20.2 mm (16.6mm at its thinnest).
