ICQ app for iOS updated with new design, video calls, group chats and more


ICQ 5.0 for iPhone

ICQ recently updated the ICQ cross-platform messaging app for iOS to version 5.0 that brought several new features, including a new iOS7-style design, support for  video calls, group chats, access via a telephone number and option to send text messages to your contacts for free. New features in ICQ 5.0 for iPhone and iPad

  • New iOS7-style design with lots of visual changes
  • Make free video calls, and also switch easily from audio to video mode and also use both front and rear cameras
  • Now chat with a group of friends. Also change a group chat’s title and invite new participants to join the chat.
  • Send messages to any contact in the list – regardless of whether they use ICQ and the message will be sent as a free SMS. Their response will appear in the conversation window.
  • Send any file such as DOC or PDF.
  • Capture a photo or record a video within the ICQ app.
  • Free colorful stickers in addition to standard emoticons.
  • New wallpaper option (own picture or ICQ gallery) for chats that can be set for each conversation individually or for all of them.

ICQ 5.0 for iOS is available from the Apple iTunes Store for free. The app is also available for other mobile platforms such as Android, Samsung Bada, Symbian, Java, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. It is also available for Windows and Mac.
