[Update: Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note Edge in India for Rs. 64,900 and it goes on sale January first week.]

Earlier: Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in India in January 2015 at a price tag of Rs. 68,500, according to a report from ET. The report says that it would retail for Rs. 64,900. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in India for Rs. 58300 back in October, which now retails for Rs. 57,000 on the official Samsung eStore. Huawei has announced the Ascend GX1 (SC-CL00), the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the Ascend series in China. It has a 6-inch HD screen with screen-to-body ratio of 80.5%, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and runs on Android 4.4-based Emotion UI. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has several camera modes such as voice capture, quick capture from the lockscreen and more. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G to go on sale in India on Dec 30th

Xiaomi Redmi Note went on sale in India earlier this month for Rs. 8,999. Xiaomi has announced that Redmi Note 4G will go on sale on Flipkart on December 30th, as it promised at the launch. The Redmi Note 4G has support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, instead of Octa-Core MediaTek chip in the 3G variant.
