The 4G LTE version has the same 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), but it comes with slightly larger 2390mAh battery, compared to 2070mAh in the 3G version. Xiaomi has sold 40,000 units of Redmi Note 4G smartphones in just 6 seconds in today’s (December 30th) sale in India. This is the first time Xiaomi is selling its Redmi Note 4G smartphone, and over 2 lakh people had registered for the sale. The Redmi Note 4G has support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, instead of Octa-Core MediaTek chip in the 3G variant. Oppo unveiled the Oppo R5 with stainless steel body, micro-arc frame that is just 4.85mm thick at an event in Singapore back in September. Oppo today launched the Oppo R5 smartphone in India as expected. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Spice Stellar 440, the company’s latest entry-level smartphone is now available from Saholic. The main highlight of the smartphone is built-in analog TV. It also has dual front-facing speakers and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Other features include, 4-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 3G connectivity, Dual SIM support, 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. After several leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A700) has gone official on the official brochure by Samsung in Korea. Along with the Galaxy A7, Samsung also plans to launch the Galaxy Grand Max (SM-G720N0) smartphone in 2015. The Grand Max has similar design as the Grand 2 and the Galaxy A7 has full metallic body, similar to other A series smartphones. Both these smartphones will come with VoLTE and DMB support in Korea. iBall Andi4P IPS GEM, the company’s latest smartphone in the Andi series has been listed on the official website for Rs. 6,499 (MRP). This is an upgraded version of the iBall Andi4 IPS GEM that was launched earlier this year. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, compared to 256MB RAM and 2GB of storage in the Andi4 IPS GEM. Even though it runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to the Andi4 IPS GEM, iBall has promised to update the smartphone to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Check out the complete specifications below.
