OnePlus has finally started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.2.0 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, couple of months after it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.3 update. This update fixes USSD issues for India finally, so that pre-paid users will now receive USSD notification after a call, SMS and for data usage. The update also adds manual mode that is already present in the OnePlus 2, option to save images in SD card directly in camera, security patches, bug fixes and optimizations. iBall has launched the Slide 3G Q45i, the company’s latest Android tablet in the Slide series. It has a 7-inch (1024×600 pixels) IPS screen, is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom x3 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It has dual-SIM support, 3G connectivity and voice calling capabilities.

Lenovo has announced K5 Note, the successor of the K4 Note that was launched in India recently, after it got certified by TENAA. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), similar to the K4 Note, but this is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a aluminium unibody design and fingerprint sensor on the back that can detect fingerprints in just 0.3 seconds. Along with Samsung Galaxy S7, reports and rumors of the LG G5 have also surfaced since past few months. Now a couple of images of the LG G5 prototype have leaked showing some of the hardware of the upcoming flagship from LG.

In the latter half of 2015, Samsung seeded an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for both the Galaxy Note5 as well as the Galaxy Note 4.
