Good news for all iPhone / iPod users who are addicted to Facebook. It’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for the little big company from Cupertino this past week. Despite AT&T’s best efforts to keep the iPhone 4 out of the hands of subscribers – we wrote about the server meltdowns that the overwhelming demand for the new iPhone had caused last week – the iPhone 4 hit eager hands starting June 24th and for some lucky folks who’d preordered, as much as a day earlier! And how it hit! Apple’s reported first three days sales of 1.7 million iPhone 4 models, besting launch records set by previous iPhone models, with the iPhone 3G and 3GS selling in the region of 1 million in the first weekend after launch. Almost makes the other news from last week – 3 million iPads sold in 80 days – pale in comparison, doesn’t it?

Thats 17 lac phones or 1700000 phones sold in just 72 hours making it most successful Apple product launch in the company’s history. Apple CEO Steve Jobs also said sorry to customers who could not get the iPhone 4 due to supply issues. But no word about the Antenna or death grip issue .Apple is gonna grab a lion’s share of the smartphone marketing share for this quarter with such impressive numbers.

Apple has announced that the White version of the iPhone 4 has been more challenging to manufacture than expected. So users can buy only the black version of the latest iPhone until the 2nd half of July ! When we unearthed the presence of the white version of the device many of you did not like the idea much and some of you felt that the quality was not great !

O2 UK has started shipping microSIM cards to its iPhone 4 Customers who have pre-ordered them. The customers would be getting their iPhones tomorrow. Many users keep asking us if microSIM cards would work with other phones or if they can use normal SIMs with the iPad 3G or iPhone 4.

We just heard from Vodafone UK that they are going to starting taking orders for the Apple iPhone 4 from Thursday 7 am. Seems like this information is for the contract phone. But if you are in UK and a Vodafone customer or if you are travelling in UK, you might be able to check out the iPhone 4 at a Vodafone Store ! While the email states that they are going to start taking orders , its not clear when the phone will land in user hands !
