Spotify goes free on iOS and Android, introduces shuffle play

Spotify has made its music streaming app free on Android, iPhone and iPad, that doesn’t require a premium subscription. Its new free offering lets you play any artist, album, or playlist in shuffle mode. Spotify is also expanding its reach to 20 new markets today, sadly India is not in the list. 3DMark for iPhone and iPad gets updated with 64-bit version

Futuremark has updated the 3DMark app for iOS to version 1.2.0 that brings a new 64-bit version to test the new iOS devices with a 64-bit processor including the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display. Scores from those devices will improve slightly with this update, says the company. Recently Futuremark started delisting Android devices with suspicious scores from the 3DMark charts. The company still continues to delist devices from the chart, which now applies to iOS devices as well, after the new update. Apple has just announced that the much anticipated iPad Air would be going on sale in India on December 7th at a Maximum Retail Price of Rs.35,900 for the base 16GB WiFi only version. The iPad mini with Retina display is also launching in India for Rs.28900 for the base 16GB WiFi only version. There is no news about the Cellular/3G versions as of now but they might go on sale at a later date. The new iPads would be available in Silver and Space Gray colours. Decent pricing considering that 1 USD is trading for almost Rs.62 currently. The same iPad Air would cost around Rs.34000 in the US and the iPad mini Retina would cost Rs.27000 approximately.
