The Oppo Find 5 was announced back in December 2012 and we did get our sweet short hands-on time with this device with jaw-dropping looks. It is a great looking phone which is solidly built and has powerful internals and an excellent display and priced very reasonably. The package is very well designed and premium and we felt like we were dealing with an expensive piece of jewellery or an high-end electronic device.

Acer Iconia A1 tablet with 7.9-inch IPS display, Android 4.2 goes official


Acer has officially announced the Iconia A1-810 tablet that surfaced last month.  It has a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS  display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. Acer launched the Iconia B1 with a 7-inch display and a dual-core Mediatek processor in India earlier this year, so we can expect this table to launch in India. Gangstar Vegas open-world action game coming soon to Android, iPhone and iPad

Gameloft has released a teaser for their upcoming game Gangstar Vegas. It is an open-world action game, just like the GTA franchise. Rockstar games released the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game for Android and iOS last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of game, and the Grand Theft Auto III was released back in 2011. Gameloft released the Iron Man 3  game for Android and iOS recently as a free game, but this is likely to be released as at a premium price just like GTA.

Instagram has updated the Android and iPhone apps to version 3.5 that brings the new Photos of You feature that would let you tag people to your photos. You can view all the photos you have been tagged in the Photos of You section on your profile. Once a person adds you, you’ll receive a notification and the photo will appear in your Photos of You. Wynncom launches G58, G51, G32 and G1 Android smartphones, starts from Rs. 4499

Wynncom Mobiles has launched 4 new Android smartphones, G58, G51, G32 and G1 under their Wynncom Wiz G-series in India. The Wynncom G58 has a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has 3G support. The G51 comes with a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, but comes only with 2G (EDGE) support. Both these phones run on Android 4.0  (Ice Cream Sandwich). Both the Wynncom G32 and the G1 come with a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Samsung Galaxy Note 510 officially launched in India for Rs. 30900

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Note 510, their latest tablet in India. It was first announced as the Galaxy Note 8.0 at MWC 2013, and it was unveiled in India as the Note 510 back in March. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 510 (GT-N51000) and it went on sale from the official eStore earlier this week. It has a 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).  It also comes with 3G support and voice calling. Huawei Ascend Mate coming soon to India priced under Rs. 30000


Huawei has confirmed that the company would launch the Ascend Mate in India soon priced under Rs. 30,000. Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate along with the Ascend D2 earlier this year at the CES 2013. The Ascend Mate has a 6.1-inch 720p display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)  with Huawei’s EmotionUI 1.5 on top. It is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 198 grams. Samsung Galaxy S4 gets first software update to improve stability

It’s been barely a week since Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in India and the device has already got a software update via OTA.The update brings stability improvements to the S4 and looks like an initial bug fix update.The phone is already running on Android 4.2.2 and this looks like a low level firmware update and not an OS update. Zync has launched the Quad 10.1, the company’s new Android tablet with a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200) Full HD display. The company launched 3 new tablets, Dual 7.0, Quad 8.0 and Quad 9.7 tablets running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) back in March. We revieed the Quad 9.7 that has a 9.7-inch display at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, similar to the iPad’s Retina’s display. The Zync Quad 10.1 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on  Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera on the back and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. iBall Andi 5L with 5-inch display gets priced at Rs. 10490, Andi 5Li coming soon

iBall Andi 5L, the company new Android smartphone in the Andi series is priced at Rs. 10,490 on online retail site Flipkart. This would be the company’s second Android smartphone with a 5-inch display after the Andi 5c that was released last August. Andi 5Li, an upgraded version of the Andi 5L has been spotted on the official iBall website. Both the Andi 5L and the 5Li would come with a 5-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor. The Andi 5L runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the Andi 5Li is expected to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on-board. These phones would also have dual SIM support. Barnes and Noble Nook HD and Nook HD+ get Google Play and Google Services

Barnes and Noble released the Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets back in September last year starting at $199 and $269, respectively. The company has announced that these tablets would get Google Play Store app that would let users enjoy over 700,000 Android apps and games, millions of songs and more. In addition these would also include Google services like the Chrome browser, Gmail, YouTube, Google Search and Google Maps. Spice Stellar Slatepad Mi-725 now available for Rs. 8499


Spice Stellar Slatepad Mi-725 that surfaced on the official website is now on sale from online retailer Saholic. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz  processor and  runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. It comes with a 3.2-megapixel auto focus rear camera and has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 3G and voice calling support via SIM card slot. Spice launched the Stellar Pad Mi-1010, a 10.1-inch tablet earlier this year, and this is the company’s first tablet with 3G and voice calling support in the Stellar series. Huawei released the Ascend G510, a mid-range Android smartphone at a price tag of Rs. 10990. Here we have the unboxing of the device. The Huawei Ascend G510 packs a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei Emotion UI. This mid-range phone lies between the Huawei Ascend G600 and the Ascend G330 that were launched earlier this year. We reviewed the Ascend Y300 recently.

Rovio has released the Angry Birds Friends for Android, iPhone and iPad as they announced last month. Angry Birds Friends was released on Facebook last year. It has new weekly tournaments that would let you win bronze, silver and gold crown on the levels, play new weekly levels and earn power-ups through tournament mode. There are also daily rewards and option to send and receive gifts of power-ups with your friends. You can also share details about your accomplishments with friends. Sony Xperia L up for pre-order in India for Rs. 18990


Sony Xperia L is now pre-order in India from online retailer Infibeam. The Xperia L was announced back in March along with the Xperia SP. The Xperia SP was launched in India last month. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
