Micromax is all set to launch the Bolt A59 and Bolt A28, two new smartphones in the Bolt series. These smartphones have been listed on Flipkart and packs a 3.5-inches (320 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and powered by a 1 GHz processor. The Micromax Bolt A59 runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), features a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Bolt A28 runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), packs a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Karbonn Titanium S7 with a 1080p IPS screen went on sale last month, now the Karbonn Titanium S4 with a 4.7-inch HD AMOLED screen has been listed on Flipkart. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Titanium S7. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM and packs a 1800 mAh battery. Three new Intex smartphones, the Intex Cloud Y3, Cloud Y7 and the Cloud Y13 has been listed on the official Intex website as coming soon. All these smartphones have a 4-inch display, powered by a dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). These have a rear camera with LED flash and front-facing cameras. These have dual SIM support with dual standby, similar to other Intex smartphones. The Intex Cloud Y3 and the Cloud Y7 have 2G (EDGE) support, and the Cloud Y13 have 3G support.
LG Electronics has announced that the company’s L Series II devices would get the popular Knock feature in 2014. This was formerly known as KnockON, which is one of the most popular LG UX feature, that was first introduced on the LG G2. This will be included as a standard feature in the company’s key mobile devices in the future, said the company. Samsung launched the Galaxy Star Pro, the successor of the Galaxy Star back in October. We already unboxed the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Star Pro packs a 1 GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC6820 processor based on ARM Cortex A5 CPU and has Mali 400 GPU. The phone has a 4.0-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS with Samsung’s own Touchwiz UI on top. Since this is just an entry-level chip, the performance would obviously be just average. Let’s find out how it performs in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

With CES just around the corner, Samsung has already started teasing what it has planned up for CES 2014. SamsungExynos’s Twitter account has teased asking if we are ready to #UnlockExynos. With UnlockExynos, it could possibly mean that Samsung are planning to update their current octa-core solution to true octa-core. Samsung was the first company to announce an octa-core processor and it featured in the Samsung Galaxy S4 which was launched earlier this year.

Huawei launched the Ascend Mate in India back in June, which was one of the best mid-range large-screen smartphones at that time. Now, images of the Ascend Mate 2 has surfaced on weibo from the popular C Technology. According to the images, the Black phone is the Ascend Mate and the White one is the Ascend Mate 2. According to the leaked image, the Ascend Mate 2 has a narrow frame with a smaller bezel. It is also likely to come with brushed metal frame, but this might just have a plastic build that looks like Metal, says the user. The Lava Iris 352e, an entry-level smartphone went on sale last month. Now the Lava Iris 354e has been spotted on Flipkart. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to the Iris 352e. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) connectivity. The phone is a bit thinner than its predecessor at 11.8mm and has 2GB of internal memory, instead of 512MB. The design of the phone has changed, which looks more flat with sharp edges than curved.

Google rolled out the KitKat update for the Nexus smartphones and tablets, and their Google Play Edition devices recently. Intex has launched the Aqua i-4+, successor of the Aqua i-4 in the Aqua series. It has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to its predecessor. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with WeChat, OLX, Matrabhasha lets users access the phone in 22 regional languages, Intex Cloud app to store more pictures, videos and files, Intex Play and more apps. We could not find what has changed in this one compared to the Aqua i-4 since the specifications are similar.

It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display at 440 PPI, powered by a 2 GHz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and comes with a BOOMband Bluetooth wristband that tracks your activity and alerts you if you leave it behind by sounding an an alarm. iBall Andi4.5-K6, the company’s new smartphone in the Andi series is now available from eBay. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and packs a 1600 mAh battery. The iBall Andi 4.5z that went on sale back in October had similar specifications, but this has 1GB of RAM.
