Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge pricing allegedly revealed

Samsung has only just begun issuing invites to its March 1 MWC 2015 event in Barcelona where the Galaxy S6 and S Edge are likely to be announced but already we’re hearing alleged pricing for the handset. According to AndroidPit, the Galaxy S6 and S Edge will both be available in three storage sizes and the Galaxy S6 will begin at €749 whilst the Galaxy S Edge will be approximately €100 more. After the successful Aqua Power smartphone, Intex has launched Intex Aqua Power HD, the company’s latest smartphone in the Aqua series. It packs a 5-inch HD screen, instead of FWVGA screen, but it is powered by the same 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and comes with a 4000mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual SIM support and 3G connectivity. Samsung launched the Galaxy E7 smartphone in the E series in India last month for Rs. 23,000.  We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to other A and E series smartphones.  It has a 2GB RAM, 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). LG F60 Dual SIM LTE smartphone now available in India for Rs. 14200

The LG F60 (D392) LTE smartphone was unveiled back in October last year and appeared on the official LG India website later that month for Rs. 15,000 (MRP). Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the smartphone is available from retail stores in India for Rs. 14200. The F60 packs a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). HTC One M8 gets Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India

HTC has finally started rolling out Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) update for the HTC One (M8) users in India. It started rolling out to the update for unlocked smartphones in several countries few weeks back. Recently HTC said the One M7 and One M8 will miss its 90 day Android Lollipop promise since their carrier versions of the One (M8) and One (M7) will not meet 90 day goal, which is February 1st. Samsung sends invites for March 1 MWC event, hints at curved design

Samsung has finally started sending out press invites to an Unpacked event being held in a months’ time on Sunday 1st March 2015 in Barcelona.

The event, which takes place on the Sunday before MWC 2015 officially begins, is likely to see the launch of the Galaxy S6 and the invite points to a Curved Design suggesting we’ll also see a curved edge smartphone announced. Meru Cabs has introduced that it has added Google Now integration to its app. Google updated the Google Search app to support Google Now cards from third party apps recently. Meru Cabs becomes the first cab service in India to integrate with the Google app. The Google Now integration will send passengers reminders for cab pickups, alerting them in case they wish to avail of a cab depending on their location, as well as other such information through Now cards within the Google app for Android, says the company. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. Samsung started changing its track from polycarbonate build, changed its usual design language and finally launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone with metal chassis, but it still had a plastic back panel. It finally came up with the A series at the end of last year with all metal unibody design The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were launched in India last month. The Galaxy A5 is the top-end model in the A series that is currently available in India. Samsung even introduced the Galaxy A7 with a larger 1080p display, but it is not available in India yet.
