The less than 2% adoption comes three months after the lunch of its first Android Lollipop device. Google’s Nexus devices and other smartphones like HTC One, Moto X, Moto G, LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S5 have started receiving the latest update. The Jelly Bean version of Android that comprises Android 4.1.x to Android 4.3 powers 44.5 percent of total installations. Android 4.4 KitKat came in third at 39.7 percent of total installs. Ice Cream Sandwich is present on 6.4% device while Gingerbread (Android 2.3.3-2.3.7) still powers 7.4% of Android handsets.

At present Jelly Bean is still the leader followed by KitKat meanwhile Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Lollipop are in third, fourth and fifth position respectively. The Lollipop adoption will see a change in near future as more and more manufacturers will start rolling out latest updates to their devices.
