POCO launched the POCO M2 Pro handset last year in India. The POCO M2 Pro shares a lot in common with the Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. All these devices came preloaded with Android 10, and have already been updated to Android 11 based MIUI 12. It’s not clear if Xiaomi and POCO have plans to upgrade these devices to Android 12 based MIUI.
After releasing developer preview of Android 12L recently, Google has released the Android 12L Beta 1 (S2B1.211112.006) for Pixel phones. HMD Global introduced the company’s flagship Nokia 9 PureView camera-centric smartphone at the MWC back in 2019 running Android 9.0 (Pie). The phone got Android 10 update in December 2019. In October last year, it promised that it will get Android 11 update in Q2 2021, later it pushed it to Q3 2021. One of the highlight features of Android 12 is its ability to create and set a custom system-wide theme that is based on the phone’s wallpaper. At the moment, the feature is only supported on Pixel devices. However, that may change soon as other manufacturers are said to introduce dynamic theme support in their smartphones too.
