Google has just release v9.19 of its Maps application for Android devices and it brings in a host of new features and improvements including a driving mode and audio toggle for navigation among other things.
Back in July 2014 Facebook introduced Mentions, a new app for iOS for celebrities and public figures with verified profiles to talk to their followers. Later it was expanded to India and 40 other countries. Now it has launched the app for Android. The app has Live stream feature so that musicians, athletes, actors, journalists and other celebrities can share live video with their fans. Sundar Pichai just took to the Google+ platform to announce the dates of Google I/O 2016 which is set to take place just 18 weeks from now in California.
It is traditional for big brands to hold separate conferences prior to events such as CES and MWC. LG also has a history of doing the same and it seems that this year they will be holding an event on 21st which is just before the MWC is scheduled to start on 22nd.

Jide Technology, popular for its Android-based Remix OS PCs introduced the Remix OS 2.0 for all other PCs and laptops at the CES 2016 last week. Today it has released the first version of Remix OS 2.0, as it had promised. Remix OS is the same Android, which has been tweaked to work on PCs and includes new UI, responds to mouse clicks and even lets you use keyboard shortcuts on your PC or laptop. ZTE has introduced (Via) Blade D Lux, the company’s latest ‘Blade series’ smartphone in Vietnam and Singapore. It packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel rear camera that also has LED flash for capturing better images even in low lighting conditions.

At its preview event in Bangalore last month, Letv confirmed that the Le Max smartphone will launch in the country sometime mid-January 2016. Today it has sent out press invites for the launch event on January 20th. Even though the teaser just shows one smartphone, another teaser (image below) from their official Facebook page shows a smaller smartphone next to the large phone, so we can expect the latest Le 1s smartphone to launch in India, along with Le Max.

OPPO recently announced that it will launch camera-centric ‘F series’ smartphones this year in India, and F1 will be the first phone in the series, which will launch on January 28th. Now the smartphone has gone official (Via) in Vietnam. Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 (SM-J120F), successor of the Galaxy J1 had surfaced in live images last month, now press shots of the smartphone have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks.
