SpaceX launches first six satellites for T-Mobile’s direct-to-cell service

T-Mobile has partnered with SpaceX for the launch of its first set of Starlink satellites with Direct to Cell capabilities. SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched the satellites yesterday and is currently in low-Earth orbit.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000C announced, powers T-Mobile VELVET 5G

MediaTek has announced Dimensity 1000C, 5G smartphone SoC which made its debut first in the United States on the LG VELVET on T-Mobile with 600 MHz and 2.5 GHz 5G spectrum. It has four ARM-Cortex-A77 CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating up to 2GHz and Five ARM Mali-G57 GPU cores. T-Mobile and Sprint merger approved by US Department of Justice

Back in 2017, T-Mobile and Sprint ceased discussions to merge into a single entity since they could not find mutually agreeable terms. But last year, both the companies agreed to merge in a deal valued at US$146 billion. In similar lines, now, the Department of Justice has approved T-Mobile and Sprint merger to create the new T-Mobile.

OnePlus 6T – T-Mobile trade-in program offers $300 credits with over 30 phones

OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 6T smartphone at an event in New York few hours back starting at $549. At the event the company said that the phone will be available with T-Mobile exclusively in the U.S. apart from OnePlus.com.  T-Mobile is offering the phone with $24.17/month x 24 contract so the total price before credits comes to $580.

Ericsson, T-Mobile ink $3.5 billion 5G agreement

Ericsson and T-Mobile today announced a multi-year, $3.5 billion contract to support T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network deployment. Under the deal, Ericsson will provide T-Mobile with the latest 5G New Radio (NR) hardware and software compliant with 3GPP standards.

T-Mobile and Sprint agree to merge in a deal valued at $146 billion

After T-Mobile and Sprint said they have ceased discussions to merge into a single entity back in November, both the company today announced a they have entered into a definitive agreement to merge in an all-stock transaction at a fixed exchange ratio of 0.10256 T-Mobile shares for each Sprint share or the equivalent of 9.75 Sprint shares for each T-Mobile US share. T-Mobile and Sprint officially end merger talks

T-Mobile and Sprint have said they have ceased discussions to merge into a single entity since they could not find mutually agreeable terms. Both the companies have been open to idea of merging for the past few years. Back in September there were reports of talks of merger, later in October new reports said that the companies might announce a merger by the end of the month, but Sprint eventually pulled out due to ownership concerns.
