Airtel Black combines Postpaid, Broadband & DTH under a single connection

Airtel has launched Airtel Black that lets bundle 2 or more of Airtel services (Fiber, DTH, Mobile) together. This entitles the customer to one single bill, one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues, says the company. This doesn’t have any additional costs or installation cost, and comes with free service visits for life. The company launched a similar plan last year for select circles. Vi launches Rs. 267 prepaid pack with 25GB data, no daily data limit, Unlimited calls, 30 days validity

Reliance Jio announces 5G partnership with Google Cloud

During their 44th annual general meeting (AGM), Reliance Jio announced a new partnership with Google, where the two companies will collaborate to integrate Jio’s 5G technologies with Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure. As a part of their partnership, Reliance will also be moving many of their their core retail businesses to Google Cloud.

Airtel begins mid-band 5G trials in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub

After receiving approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to begin 5G trials in India last month, Airtel has begun rolling out their mid-band 5G trial network in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub. The test is being conducted on the 3500 MHz band and is utilizing 5G networking gear from Ericsson.

Airtel deploys additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in 1800 MHz band in Karnataka to enhance network coverage

After Tamil Nadu, Airtel today announced that it has also upgraded its mobile network in Karnataka by deploying an additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band along with advance network software tools across its network in Karnataka to significantly bolster high speed data capacity. Airtel adds additional 5MHz spectrum in 1800MHz band in Tamil Nadu to enhance network coverage

Airtel, one of India’s largest cellular network companies, has announced an upgrade to its Tamil Nadu network with the addition of 5MHz in the 1800 MHz band. This brings Airtel’s total spectrum bank in Tamil Nadu to 65MHz, which is one of the largest among cellular network carriers in the state.
