(Gujarat). Vi said that in its trial, it achieved peak 5G speed of 3.7 Gbps with very low latency on the mmWave spectrum band. Airtel has launched new Mobile and Home Broadband plans that come bundled with free 1-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. These new Airtel mobile prepaid plans come with bundled data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day along with subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. This comes after the launch of similar Disney+ Hotstar bundled packs from Jio earlier this month, but Jio’s 56 days plan costs Rs. 666 and the 365 days plan costs Rs. 2599. Airtel today announced that it has successfully conducted India’s first cloud gaming session in a 5G environment. It was conducted in Manesar (Guragon) as part of the ongoing 5G trails using spectrum allotted by the Department of Telecom (DoT). OPPO India has announced that it has conducted 5G standalone network trial for Reno6 Series under the 5G SA network environment provided by Jio at its 5G Lab. The trial yielded highly positive results, said the company. “The encouraging outcomes of the trial ratify the capabilities of both the devices in the Reno6 Series as true 5G devices, bringing a high-quality 5G experience closer to reality,” said OPPO. Airtel has discontinued its Rs 49 entry level Prepaid recharge. The company said that its prepaid packs will now start from the Rs 79 Smart Recharge, and it says that offer up to four times more outgoing minutes of usage to customers along with double data. After partnering with Qualcomm, Airtel today announced a collaboration with Intel to use its vRAN / O-RAN technologies for 5G services in India. Reliance Retail today announced that it will acquire a controlling stake in Just Dial, India’s leading local search engine platform, for a total consideration of Rs. 3,497 crores. Reliance Retail will hold 40.95% and would make an open offer to acquire up to 26% in accordance with SEBI. This entitles the customer to one single bill, one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues, says the company. This doesn’t have any additional costs or installation cost, and comes with free service visits for life. The company launched a similar plan last year for select circles.
