Volvo today announced that it plans to become the world’s first car manufacturer to offer cars without keys from 2017. ARCHOS has announced Diamond 2 Plus, along with the Diamond 2 Note smartphone, ahead of MWC 2016. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 20-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor, Laser Auto Focus, dual-tone LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera that also has a flash. It has hybrid dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, fingerprint sensor on the back and USB Type-C port.
After introducing the ARCHOS 50d Oxygen smartphone and several Oxygen series tablets, the company today introduced its flagship Diamond 2 Note smartphone with a 6-inch Quad HD IPS borderless screen, ahead of MWC 2016 next week. It is powered by an Octa-Core Mediatek Helio X10 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), 4K video recording and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Cat phones, popular for its rugged phones, today announced it’s flagship Cat S60, which becomes the world’s first smartphone with an integrated thermal camera. The company also says that it is the world’s most waterproof smartphone since it is waterproof to depths of up to 5 meters for one hour, allowing it to be used as an underwater camera. It also exceeds military spec since it is built to withstand drops onto concrete from up to 1.8 meters, and it’s dustproof. After several rumors, Qualcomm today confirmed that the upcoming flagship LG G5 smartphone that will be unveiled at the MWC 2016 on Sunday will be powered by its latest high-end Snapdragon 820 processor. The Snapdragon 820 uses custom 64-bit CPU architecture in ARMv8-based Qualcomm Kryo CPU and is based on FinFET process. It has Adreno 530 GPU, X12 LTE modem, Snapdragon Smart protect, SafeSwitch kill switch solution, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and more unique features.

Canonical has partnered with Meizu to introduce Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition, ahead of MWC 2016 next week. “This is the fifth Ubuntu device launched by Canonical and its partners in the last twelve months and the most sophisticated and feature-rich Ubuntu phone in the market,” said Canonical. It has similar specifications as the original Meizu PRO 5 that was introduced last year, but this comes only in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant. Few days before the official launch, several details about the upcoming flagship, LG G5 have surfaced. Huawei has teased an invite for an event at the upcoming MWC 2016 next week, where it is expected to unveil a device that comes with a stylus. The invite states that the company has scheduled an event on February 21.
