LG G5 with 5.3-inch Quad HD always-on display, 4GB RAM, hardware expansion slot announced

LG has officially announced G5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the G series that packs a dual rear cameras and a hardware expansion slot. It has a 5.3-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum always-on display that lets you can check the time, battery status, and notifications without waking the phone. The display’s backlight only illuminates one small part of the overall display, so only 0.8% of the phone’s battery drains in a hour, according to LG. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with LG UX.

It has a 10.1-inch HD IPS display, is powered by a Quad-Core Intel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and comes bundled with a keyboard that has a built-in SIM slot for 4G LTE connectivity, so that you can use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 15 users.

Alcatel has introduced Idol 4 and Idol 4S smartphones in the Idol series, ahead of MWC next week. The company also announced that it is dropping the ONETOUCH branding and will be operating under the name ALCATEL. As expected, the IDOL 4s comes with an innovative packaging design that transforms into a pair of virtual reality goggles offering an immersive 360-degree viewing and gaming. It has Onetouch VR Store app to to download virtual reality content or stream realtime content via LittlStar.

Sony will introduce a new smartphone, codenamed Xperia PP10 and a smart Bluetooth headset dubbed Smart Ear at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona next week. According the leaked image from @evleaks, the Xperia smartphone will have a curved design, a large power button, similar to Xperia Z5 smartphones and a dedicated camera shutter button, below the volume rockers. Earlier this month there were rumors about HTC releasing Desire 500 series (codenamed A16) and Desire 800 series (codenamed A56) smartphones at the MWC next week, ahead of the launch of M10 in April. Now @evleaks has posted a press images of the Desire 500 series smartphone, which could be the Desire 530. The design of the smartphone is completely different from its earlier Desire series smartphones, including the Desire 526 that was introduced last year. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge detailed specifications surface in promotional poster

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones at an event tomorrow. Now the specifications of the smartphone have been detailed in a Samsung Pay promotional poster from a Spanish bank La Caixa. Sammobile who got hold of this poster, also reveals that both the smartphones will come with a 12MP rear camera with 1/2.5-inch sensor, at least 1.4-microns, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and powerful 1.5W loudspeaker.

A design render of the LG G5 smartphone already revealed that the flagship will have a removable battery that can be accessed from the bottom. Today a new leak from China(Via) has revealed the removable slot, which houses its battery. Even though earlier leaks revealed that the phone will have a 2800mAh battery, the latest leak claims that the G5 will have a 4000mAh battery, larger than all the earlier G series smartphones.

First press render of the LG’s flagship G5 smartphone has surfaced online, thanks to @evleaks. Even though the phone doesn’t look impressive in an image posted earlier, the new render reveals a different design.
