Sony Xperia Z3 Compact launched in India for Rs. 44990

Sony has launched the Xperia Z3 Compact along with the Xperia Z3 in India. It was unveiled earlier this month at the IFA and packs a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine, slightly larger than the Z1 Compact, powered by slightly faster 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. It has the same 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens, 4K video recording and a 2.2-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera, similar to the Xperia Z3. Sony Xperia Z3 launched in India for Rs. 51990

Sony has launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India, as expected. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month. Even though the 5.2-inch 1080p display and the 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. India migrating from feature phones to Android smartphones: Opera Report

India is the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. The country has seen a rise in migration to smartphones from basic feature phones, according to the State of the Android Mobile Web report for India by Opera Software.

The report said that India has the largest Opera Mini user base in the world that has increased by 25% over the past year, while its smartphone user base surged by 120%. Meanwhile, the Android smartphones user base has increased by an impressive 160%, said the report.

It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU, has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). 60,000 Redmi 1S units sell out in 5.2 seconds in fourth sale in India

Xiaomi sold 60,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones in 5.2 seconds in the fourth flash sale in India today. The company put up 20,000 units more than first three Redmi sales, and over 3.5 lakh people had registered for today’s sale. It took 3.4 seconds for the company to sell 40,000 units in its third sale last week. Jolla smartphone with Sailfish OS launched in India for Rs. 16499

Jolla, the smartphone start up company from Finland has launched its first Jolla smartphone in India exclusively on Snapdeal, as it promised. It has a 4.5-inch qHD screen, powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Sailfish OS, which has a gesture-based user interface and supports Android apps.  Jolla has an unique design. There are two parts to the smartphone, the front and the cover which Jolla refer to as the other half.
