Micromax’s YU launched the YU YUREKA (AO5510) smartphone last month for Rs. 8,999. We brought you the unboxing, photo gallery, benchmarks and battery test results of the smartphone recently. Here we have the camera samples. The Yukrea has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with single LED Flash, 5P lenses, Sony Exmor RS IMX135 sensor, f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, OmniVision 5648 sensor, 4P lenses and 71-degree wide viewing angle. Since it runs on Cyanogen OS, it comes with Cyanogen camera app that has several modes.
Popular international calling app Ringo has made its entry in India. The app from Directi, allows you to make international calls without the use of Internet data.

Celkon has officially launched Millennia OCTA510, the company’s first smartphone with Octa-Core SoC. It went on sale online earlier this week, has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot. ASUS has released ASUS Keyboard for its Zenfone series of smartphones and its Android tablets in India. Even though the app was available on Google Play since last year, the company has added Hindi and Tamil languages for Indian users. ASUS has promised to add more languages and localized features soon. The keyboard offers accurate next-word prediction and suggestions, auto-correction and a learning capability, says the company.

Samsung has launched Samsung Z1 (Z130H), the company’s first budget Tizen OS smartphone in India, as expected. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Tizen OS 2.3. It has a 3.1-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Xolo today announced that the it will roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Xolo One budget smartphone starting January 16. It already promised to offer Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the smartphone when it launched back in October last year running Android 4.4 (KitKat). Xolo is not part of the Android One program, and it is really good to see the company offering Android Lollipop update for the Xolo One before the Android One devices. Micromax’s YU has announced that it sold 10,000 units of Yureka smartphones in just 3 seconds in its first flash sale on Amazon.in. Over 3 lakh people had registered for today’s sale. Since everyone tried to buy the smartphone, the website crashed immediately after the sale was open. Some managed to order, but most users were frustrated since they couldn’t get the smartphone. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G went on sale in India last month for Rs. 9,999. Both the smartphones are competitively priced and come with 4G connectivity. You might have already seen the photo gallery comparing the YU YUREKA and the Xiaomi Redmi Note. The Redmi Note 4G has the same design, but the internals are slightly different. We decided to compare these smartphones.
