Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band, the company’s first fitness band and sleep tracker. It connects to your Android smartphones running Android via Bluetooth 4.0 low energy (BLE), has a set of sensors that monitors your fitness and tracks your sleep. The data can be share to social networks easily with the companion app that would also offer you health advice. It has aluminum surface and skin-friendly wristband.

Xiaomi has launched Mi 4i, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mi series. It has a 5-inch 1080p fully laminated display from JDI or Sharp with 178-degree viewing angle, is powered by an 2nd generation Octa-Core Snadpragon 615 processor and runs on MIUI v6 on top of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with visual interactive voice response (IVR) feature built for India. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera from Samsung or Sony with 5-element lens, f/2.0 aperture and two-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens. Lenovo A5000, the latest smartphone in the A series is now available in India through retail stores, according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the A6000, but this is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and packs 4000mAh battery that promises up to 35 hours talk time and up to 33.5 days standby. Lenovo launched the A6000 Plus smartphone in India at Rs. 7,499. Today the company has announced that 100,000 units of the A6000 Plus will be available in the first flash sale on April 28th. Registrations for the sale started on the launch day, April 17th and closes on 27th April 11:59 PM. Lenovo sold 3 lakh units of A6000 smartphones in India in 3 months before it was temporarily discontinued. Uber increases fares in India due to service tax changes

Uber has announced increase in fares across all its services that includes, uberBlack, uberX and its cheapest uberGO across India. This price hike is due to service tax implemented by Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley in the recent Union Budget for web based software application and a communication device allowing customer to connect with persons providing service of a particular kind under the brand name or trade name. Service tax will be levied on the total fare and not just the commission being earned by the aggregators for every ride, he had said in the budget.
