Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Benchmarks
Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Plus smartphone in India earlier this month for Rs. 8499. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor (Even though CPU-Z shows it has Snapdragon 615) that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.50 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.21 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz, 2GB RAM, 5-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Vibe UI. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Goa
Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Goa. Airtel launched 4G services in 296 towns across India back in August last year. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) Android 6.0.1 update starts rolling out in India
Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 update for the Moto G (3rd Gen) smartphone in India, soon after rolling out the update for Moto X Play in the country. Motorola rolled out the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone earlier this year. The changelog is same as the Moto X Play that brings back camera shutter tone switch to turn off and on the sound of the camera shutter and also launch the camera by double-pressing the power button, but the changelog doesn’t mention support for Unicode 8.0 emojis. OPPO R9 with 16MP front camera launching in India on April 5 [Update]
Update: OPPO has shared a teaser in Indonesia, so it will likely launch the R9 as F1 Plus in India, as it had promised earlier this year at the F1 launch event.
OPPO has sent out invites for the launch of R9, its flagship selfie-focused smartphone in India on April 5th. Even though the invite just says it will be a camera phone, OPPO’s teasers clear indicate that it is indeed the R9 that is coming next week. It is also expected to launch the R9 Plus along with the R9 that also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these that were introduced in China earlier this month have a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

At the Redmi Note 3 launch event Hugo Barra, Vice President of Xiaomi Global said that the flagship Mi 5 smartphone will launch in India in April. Now Xiaomi has started sending press invites for the event. The Mi 5 was announced at an event in China and at the MWC 2016 last month.
