Reliance Retail has launched Lyf Fame 2 and Lyf Wind 4, two new 4G smartphone with VoLTE. The Lyf Fame 2 has a 4-inch WVGA screen and is powered by MediaTek 6735M SoC, while the Lyf Wind 4 comes with a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by Snapdragon 210 SoC and has a 4000mAh battery. MediaTek today announced that it has partnered with Intex Technologies for the iRist Pro and iRist Junior smartwatches that are powered by MediaTek SoCs. SanDisk launched its first iXpand Flash Drive with a Apple Lightning connector and USB 2.0 for iPhone and iPad last year. Today it has launched new iXpand Flash Drive. It was announced last month, is compact weighing only 5.3 grams and also has a USB 3.0 connector for faster transfer speeds to Mac or PCs. After launching its 4G LTE services or SuperNet 4G in 5 circles – Kerala, Karnataka, Mumbai, Delhi & NCR and Kolkata, Vodafone has announced that it will launch 4G services in Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal in the second phase of roll out. “The nine circles of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal, together contribute to just under 70% of Vodafone India’s data revenues,” said the company.

TRAI has released guidelines for international data roaming and global calling cards. The authority has recommended that international SIM cards and global calling cards companies must provide itemized bill to customers within 10 days of culmination of the journey.
Airtel has launched new pre-paid data packs that offer double data benefits by providing additional data at night. “With the new packs, customers will be able to save up to 30% on recharges, when compared to existing data packs,” said Airtel. iBall today launched CompBook Excelance, it’s latest affordable Windows 10 laptop in partnership with Intel and Microsoft. It has a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) display, is powered by a Quad Core Intel Z3735F processor, comes with a keyboard and a trackpad and weighs just 1.09kg. It has also launched a CompBook Exemplaire version with a 14-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) display with almost similar specifications but it weighs 1.46kg. It was announced in China last month, packs a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Flyme OS on top, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for fast focus in just 0.2 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Smartron, an IoT company which received investment from Sachin Tendulkar recently launched its t.book 12.2-inch 2-in-1. It already promised to launch its t.phone, it’s first smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen at a separate event in Hyderabad on April 18th, but it got delayed.
