Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A18 4G, adding an entry-level option to its established Galaxy A series. The device targets everyday users with an emphasis on display quality, battery longevity, and extended software support.
Display and Hardware Specifications
The Galaxy A18 4G is built around a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen supporting a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The chassis incorporates flat edges with rounded corners to assist handling, aligning with Samsung’s broader Galaxy design aesthetic. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Internally, the smartphone is powered by an Exynos 1610 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This is a change from the MediaTek Helio G99 in the predecessor. Power is supplied by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging, rated to reach 50% capacity within 30 minutes.
Camera Capabilities and Software Integration
Photography is handled by a triple-lens rear module featuring a 50 MP main camera sensor, while the front cutout houses a 13 MP camera for video calls and selfies.
On the software side, the device runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9.0 overlay. Integrated features include the updated Circle to Search tool, enabling screen-based visual lookups, as well as native compatibility with Google Gemini for natural-language assistant tasks like messaging and scheduling. Notably for its tier, Samsung has committed to providing six generations of operating system upgrades alongside six years of regular security patches.

5G version of the phone with a Snapdragon chip is said to launch soon.
