OnePlus just introduced the Soft Gold Limited Edition OnePlus 5 smartphone, as expected. It uses advanced sandblasting process, so the finish of the Soft Gold OnePlus 5 is 30% finer than that of previous OnePlus Soft Gold devices, said the company. It is priced at Rs. 32,999, same as the Slate Gray 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version and will be available from Amazon.in and oneplusstore.in starting August 9th at 12:00 AM. Ola employee arrested for stealing Aadhaar KYC data

Abhinav Srivastav, an IIT-Kharagpur graduate, has been arrested by the Bengaluru city police on the charge of stealing Aadhaar data. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has registered a case against the 31-year old Ola employee who is also the founder of Qarth Technologies that was acquired by Ola.

Apple requests tax breaks for suppliers in India to make iPhones

Apple has asked the Indian government to extend tax breaks to its suppliers if India to start making phones in India instead of simply assembling them. Government officials told Reuters that meeting this request would mean India would have to formulate a new policy that applies fairly to all device makers.
