Looks like Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S4 in India through multiple channels. The much anticipated Android phone will be launched at Reliance Digital Stores across India on April 27th with a launch party for pre-booking customers in the evening in Mumbai. Certain outlets have started pre-bookings since yesterday. We had reported today morning about the Galaxy S4 going on sale on Samsung’s official online store on 27th.

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) in India. The Galaxy S2 got the Jelly Bean update in India earlier this month. The phone saw a huge price drop to Rs. 14,500 in India last month. Samsung announced the list of devices that would get the Android Jelly Bean update back in back in September 2012. Asus Fonepad Benchmarks

Asus launched the Fonepad in India yesterday at a price tag of Rs. 15999. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here are the benchmarks of the device. The Fonepad is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 single-core processor with Power VR SGX540 GPU. Xolo launched the X500 powered by this processor earlier this year. Google Nexus 7 16GB version went on sale in India from the Google Play Store last month at a price tag of Rs. 15,999. Asus launched the 32GB WiFi and 32GB 3G versions of the tablet in India earlier this month along with the 32GB 3G version priced at Rs. 21,999. Google has started selling 32GB WiFi version of the tablet from the official Google Play Store in India. Google unveiled the Nexus 7 last June, and the 3G version with 32GB storage was announced at the Google I/O in October last year. It has a 5.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen True Color display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash, 720p HD video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has in-built in-built Digital Theatre System (DTS) Sound, YAMAHA 168 music system for enhanced audio experience. It comes with range of pre-loaded apps including Facebook, NQ Security, You Tube, Twitter, You Tube and more. Samsung Galaxy S4 to go on sale in India from the official eStore on 27th April

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S4 in India tomorrow, April 26th. The phone would go on sale from their official eStore on 27th April, a day after the launch, and would also ship on the same day. Samsung would usually start pre-booking for their flagship devices before the launch, but just the registration page went live few weeks back. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York last month. The company had already conducted the Galaxy S4 World Tour 2013 in London, Seoul and Hong Kong. Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has announced that Dmitry Shukov would take over from Vsevolod Rozanov, the current President and CEO of SSTL. Fly Mobiles has launched the Fly F45s, the company’s latest Android smartphone. It has a 4.5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 12-megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash that can take 80 burst shots. It also has a 3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby. Videocon is also expected to launch the A47 with a 4.7-inch qHD display, Android 4.1 and a 12MP camera. The Celkon A119 Signature HD that we reviewed recently has a 5-inch HD display, but most of the features are similar to the Fly F45S.

Asus has launched the Fonepad, the company’s first 7-inch tablet with voice calling support, as we reported earlier this week. The Fonepad has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor. It packs a 3-megapixel auto focus rear camera which supports 720p HD video recording and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has metallic finish with a streamlined design. This pack offers unlimited free Twitter access for 3 months for GSM customers without any extra cost. The company launched My College plan for pre-paid GSM customers last year that offered unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp and offered Unlimited Facebook and Facebook Messenger access at Rs. 16 per month few months back. LG Optimus G Pro likely to launch in India by June

LG announced its competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note earlier this year in the form of the Optimus G Pro which is a large screen Android phone / Phablet and one of the first phones to be powered by the Snapdragon 600 processor. LG India has confirmed to FoneArena that it will soon launch the Optimus G Pro here in India most likely by June. Looks like Videocon is all set to release range of Android smartphones. The Videocon A47 would be the company’s flagship device that would feature a ~~4.7-inch (960 × 540 pixels)~~ 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and a ~~1.2 GHz quad-core~~ 1GHz processor. It would run on ~~Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)~~ Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. The Videocon A53 and the A51 would feature a 5.3-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) and a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) touch screen displays respectively. Both these phones would be powered by a dual-core processors and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). All these phones would come with dual SIM support.
