Nokia Lumia 520 now available on Snapdeal for a price of Rs. 10,390

Nokia Lumia 520, the cheapest Windows Phone 8 device till date was recently launched in India with availability dates promised around the second week of April, but jumping ahead, it has now appeared on Snapdeal, one of the online marketplaces for phones in India. It is showing up as available for Rs. 10,390 with delivery slate as “dispatched within 15 business days” which is normal for any phone they sell. The low-mid end Windows Phone 8 device was initially set to launch globally in Q2, but, India being an important market and following the relatively good success of the Lumia 510, it seems to have been prioritized for India, which is great news for budget smartphone buyers.

The LG Optimus L3 II Dual has a  3.2-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and packs a 1540 mAh battery.  The Optimus L7II Dual has a 4.3-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8225 processor with Adreno 203 GPU and packs a 2460 mAh battery. These run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and have dual SIM support with a dedicated SIM switch button. IPL 2013 is starting tomorrow, with the opening ceremony kicking off in few hours. Vodafone has launched the Super Fan contest for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013. It was announced in January last year, and launched in India last April at a price tag of Rs. 26,900 (MRP) running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It was selling at Rs. 17,500 earlier this month. Micromax Canvas HD now in stores, with fresh packaging, costs more

Micromax has been in a lot of news recently from unexpected demand for its Canvas Android phones to its legal tussle with Ericsson over patent infringement for over 100 crores .  The company increased the price of Canvas HD A116 to Rs.14499 from Rs.13990 due to increase in customs duty. Now the stocks of the Canvas HD are finally hitting retail stores and we could find it at few retail shops in Chennai. The retail packaging has got a fresh new look.

When the Google Nexus 7 tablet went on sale last week , Google indicated that it would ship the orders by April 5th.  But looks like the company decided to ship them out earlier than expected. Online retailer Flipkart has put up the device for pre-order at a price tag of Rs. 10,499.  It wasunveiled at the Mobile World Congress in 2013 in Barcelona last month, and appeared on the Nokia India Shop online portal earlier this month, which still says ‘coming soon’ without any price tag. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display with 2D hardened glass, and is super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove use.
