HP confirms Slate 6 and Slate 7 voice calling phablet/tablet for India

Hewlett-Packard, one of the leading PC manufacturers had a shy at the smartphone market and met with little success. The company had backed out a couple of years back and now are reportedly re-entering the smartphone/tablet market. HP will reportedly announce two new devices – HP Slate 6 and HP Slate 7 phablet and tablet respectively in India later this year. HP is expected to make an official announcement very soon.

Seven Disney Games are free on Windows Phone Store for a limited time

Disney games have been popular on the Windows Phone platform and just after the New Year, the company has made seven of its games free for a limited time on the Windows Phone store. The Windows Phone store definitely isn’t the most popular platform for developers or consumers, but is catching up pretty fast. In what seems like a strategy to boost the downloads, Disney are giving away seven games for free(only for a limited time).

The total worth of these games is around 15 bucks and today is your lucky day – go download them all for free.

Among the games that are on sale, the physics based puzzle games – Where’s My Water?, Where’s My Mickey? and Where’s My Perry? are usually available for USD$0.99. The other games Monsters University and Wreck-It Ralph are also usually priced at USD$0.99. The other two games – Avenger’s Initiative and Toy Story: Smash It! are priced at USD$4.99 and now are completely free. For the folks envying about offers in both Play Store and App Store, this is a great time to go download some cool games for free.

Motorola Moto G India launch expected in the last week of January

At the Moto G launch back in November, Motorola announced that the Moto G would be available in India early January 2014, but it didn’t happen.  Motorola would launch Moto G, the company’s latest affordable Android smartphone in India in the last week of this month, according to a latest report from TOI. The Moto G has a  4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) edge-to-edge display at 329 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and the update to Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) has already started rolling out in the U.S and Europe gradually starting from last month. Now the Sleeve is finally available for purchase through Play Store in India.  It is also available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, US and UK. The Nexus 7 Sleeve has Neoprene and microfiber cushion and features an asymmetrical zipper for quick and easy access. We had been showing you photos of the latest devices we unboxed, like the Nokia Asha 502 and the Nokia Lumia 525. Right next in line is the Nokia Asha 503, which is based on the same new design philosophy as the Asha 502 and comes with a really nice frosty iced look for its case. We have the Asha 503 in black, which might not be as photogenic as the Asha 502 but does not look conservative as well. Xolo Q1000 Opus Review

After its first Intel partnership for the X Series phones, Xolo partnered with Broadcom to launch the Q1000 Opus last month that features the latest quad-core Broadcom chip. Most of the Xolo phones in the Q CORE series uses a MediaTek chip and the Xolo Q500 uses a Snapdragon 200 processor. Unlike the Q1000, the company’s first phone with a HD screen and a quad-core processor, the Q1000 Opus is a low to mid-range smartphone with a 5-inch FWVGA screen and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Micromax unveiled the Canvas LapTab, the company’s first dual-boot Android and Windows 8.1 tablet at the CES 2014 last week. Now PTI reports that the tablet would be priced under $500 or Rs. 30,000 when it launches in India sometime in Q1 2014. The Canvas LapTab has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS touch screen display, powered by a 1.46 GHz Intel Celeron N2805 processor along with 2GB of RAM. We just unboxed the brand new Nokia Lumia 525 in white and found it look very slightly different from the Lumia 520. While we are still reviewing the device, we thought it would be a fine idea to show you the phone in pictures, so that one can get to know how exactly the phone looks like, in real pictures, rather than renders or the usual promotional material. With white glossy plastic on the back, the Lumia 525 sports a slightly sleeker design and looks great, like most Lumia devices usually do. Samsung Galaxy Gear price drops to Rs. 18999 in India

Samsung has dropped the price of the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch in India to Rs. 18,999, as reported by Mahesh Telecom. The Samsung Galaxy Gear was launched in India back in September last year at a price tag of Rs. 22,990, soon after it was announced at the IFA. It has a 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a 800 MHz processor and packs a 315 mAh battery.
