Xiaomi Mi 9 SE with 5.97-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 712, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Along with the Mi 9, Xiaomi also introduced the Mi 9 SE, successor of last year’s Mi 8 SE in China. It has a 5.97-inch Full HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with 90.4% screen-to-body ratio. It is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 712 SoC. The phone has fifth-gen in-display fingerprint sensor and retains the main 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as well as 20-megapixel front camera from the Mi 9, but this feature an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. Xiaomi Mi 9 with 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Xiaomi just announced the Mi 9, the company’s latest flagship smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 90.7% screen to body ratio since it has 3.6mm small chin, making it 40% narrower than the Mi 8. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Game Turbo with real-time CPU/GPU/FPS monitoring, up to 8GB of RAM and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top.

Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras including ultra wide-angle lens teased for MWC 2019

Earlier today Xiaomi confirmed that it will introduce its flagship Mi 9 smartphone at an event in China on February 20th. It also sent out invites for its MWC 2019 event in February 24th in Barcelona on February 24th. It was expected to introduce Mi Mix 3 5G at the event, now the company has posted a new teaser on Twitter hinting at Mi 9 with triple rear cameras at MWC.

Xiaomi schedules MWC 2019 event on February 24, Mi MIX 3 5G expected [Update: Invite]

Update – February 13, 2019: Xiaomi has sent out invites for the February 24 event and has also teased it on social channels. The event starts at 10:30 AM CET (3PM IST). The invite doesn’t give any hint on what to expect. Earlier rumors revealed that the company will launch the Mi MIX 3 5G. It will also likely showcase the Mi 9 after it goes official February 20th.

Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras to be announced on February 20

Xiaomi has finally announced that the company’s flagship Mi 9 smartphone, successor of last year’s Mi 8 will be announced on February 20th at an event in China. It also confirmed that is is codenamed “Battle Angel”. The phone was spotted in the wild last week, and the official teaser confirms the design with triple rear cameras and a flash arranged vertically.

After teasers, Xiaomi has launched its Mi Home Security Camera Basic 1080p in India. As the name suggests, it has 1080p full HD video recording, at up to 20fps, has 130° ultra-wide angle lens that covers more of the room and effectively reduces blind spots, has advanced Al motion detection, comes with Infrared night vision with 10m infrared range, zoning classification and two-way voice communication.

Xiaomi dual-side foldable smartphone uses flexible folding screen co-developed with supply chain partner

It is a known fact that Xiaomi’s foldable phone is under development, while it is not confirmed, but the company might showcase the first-gen foldable phone at the MWC 2019 event later this month and eventually roll out in the latter half of 2019. Xiaomi patent hints at smartphone with edge-to-edge display, dual rear cameras

Xiaomi’s new design patent was published in the Global Design Database of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) on February 5th. The patent hints at a full-screen smartphone with a dual camera on the back. Furthermore, the display features a rounded off corners on all four sides.
