Sony launched the Xperia Z5 Premium Dual, its flagship smartphone in India for Rs. 62,990 back in October last year. We unboxed the smartphone recently, here we have the battery life test results from the smartphone. It packs a 3430mAh built-in battery, slightly bigger than the Xperia Z5 Dual’s 2900mAh battery, has Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support and comes bundled with Quick Charger. It has a 5.5-inch (3840×2160 pixels), is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Check out the battery test results. Sony has launched its new compact NW-A25HN Walkman with Hi-Res digital noise canceling feature in India. It was introduced at the IFA last September. It has a 2.2-inch (320×240 pixels) QVGA TFT color LCD display and control buttons. It has Hi-Res audio and Sony’s proprietary DSEE technology to upscale compressed audio files to High-Resolution Audio and other features such as ClearAudio+, Clear Bass, Clear Phase, Dynamic Normalizer and 5 band Equalizer. The User Interface for the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Sony Xperia devices has been leaked by NTT Docomo, the Japanese telecom operator. The images reveal that the UI will look pretty similar to what we experienced on Android Lollipop itself.

Sony Xperia C6, successor of last year’s Xperia C5 Ultra has surfaced in a new render from @OnLeaks, who says that the render is based on raw factory schematics. The new leak shows the phone in Grey, White and Rose Gold colors. According to the image, the phone is expected to come with ultra narrow bezel. The Xperia C5 Ultra has a 6-inch 1080p display with just 0.8mm slim bezels, so the bezels on the C6 might be less than that. Sony Corporation today reported its revenues for the third quarter of the financial year 2015 that ended December 31, 2015. Sales increased 0.5% year-on-year to 2,580.8 billion yen (US$ 21,507 million) compared to the same quarter last year. Operating income increased 20.1 billion yen year-on-year to 202.1 billion yen (US$ 1,685 million). Sony shipped just 7.6 million smartphones in the quarter compared to 11.9 million in Q3 FY14. Sony released Socialife News app for its devices back in 2012, later in 2014 the app was released for all the Android devices. Today the company has renamed the app as News Suite and has also updated it with new User Interface (UI) that brings a new two-tab system. It also gets a new ‘News tab’ that features general news from around the world organized by genre, and the “My Feeds” tab gathers together news and blog posts that users are interested in – allowing general and personalized news to be viewed separately.
