Samsung GALAXY Y DUOS and GALAXY Y Pro DUOS Dual SIM Android phones announced

Samsung has announced the GALAXY Y DUOS and GALAXY Y Pro DUOS. These are the Dual SIM versions of the GALAXY Y and the  GALAXY Y Pro Android phones that was launched recently and are the are aimed at Younger generation. The Samsung GALAXY Y DUOS 3.14-inch touch screen display and has polished metallic casing. It is 11.98mm thin and weighs 109 g. Samsung to roll out Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy devices starting Q1 2012


Samsung has officially announced that they plan to provide Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for Galaxy devices from the first quarter of 2012. Samsung GALAXY S II and GALAXY Note would be the first devices to get this update in the first quarter of 2012 and other devices would follow soon. Samsung offers 16 popular games for free for Galaxy smartphones


Samsung now offers 16 popular games for Galaxy smartphones for free on their Samsung Apps app store. They are also running Samsung App Tournament Event on their Facebook page that would let you win prizes. The list of supported devices include Samsung GALAXY Note, GALAXY S II HD, GALAXYS II, GALAXY S Wi-fi, Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Gio. Samsung launches White Galaxy Note in South Korea

Samsung has launched White version of the Galaxy Note in South Korea. Samsung announced the Galaxy Note in September and launched it in Korea this November with LTE support. The new White version would also come with LTE support and complete white colored front and back including a white colored S Pen. The features are similar to the black version. Samsung Galaxy R price drops to Rs. 20,990


Samsung Galaxy R has seen a price drop in India. Samsung announced Galaxy R, stripped down version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, this July. It was launched in India at a steeper price of Rs. 27439 this October. The price of the phone dropped to 22,900 recently and now it is available less than that. Samsung Galaxy Note unboxing

The Samsung Galaxy Note has arrived and with it comes the now obligatory unboxing video. But first, a quick recap on what the Galaxy Note is. The Galaxy Note is a super sized phone, or a small tablet – depending on your point of view. Personally I view it more as a phone as, while it is massive, it is a fully functioning phone, and most users will likely use this as their main phone rather than carrying a separate smartphone (and why would you want to?). Add the S-Pen stylus and the 5.3″ Super AMOLED HD (800 x 1280) display with Wacom digitiser to the mix and what you get is a device that replaces not only your smartphone, but also your Moleskine notebook.

Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro few months back which had a 2.6-inch TFT touch screen display and a QWERTY keyboard, 2 MP camera and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is now available for pre-order from online retailer, Flipkart. It is 10.9mm thick and weighs 115.3g and has 3.7 (800 x 480 pixels) inch Super AMOLED display. Galaxy Nexus volume bug fix rolling out via OTA update


The Samsung Galaxy Neus volume bug is getting fixed through an Over the Air (OTA) firmware update that is rolling out in UK. Some of the Galaxy Nexus owners have been facing volume bug that mutes their device automatically and then becomes unresponsive while keeping their phone in 2G mode. Google has already said that they are working on an update to fix this issue. Clove UK has confirmed through their UK distributors that the update had already been completed on the new stocks and would be available very soon for new and existing customers. Samsung announces Exynos 5250 with 2GHz Cortex-A15 dual-core processor

Samsung Electronics has announced their next-generation Cortex-A15 processor equipped with 2.0GHz, high-performance dual-core Exynos 5250 SoC (System on Chip) that would use less power while offering 2x better performance than existing CPUs. It is created using a 32nm-low power HKMG process and could process 2 instructions per second to 14 billion (14,000 DMIPS) while the existing 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex-A9-based products process 2 instructions per second to 7.5 billion (7,500 DMIPS ).This was already rumored back in April this year. Samsung Galaxy Nexus Unboxing Video

The Galaxy Nexus is world’s first phone to run on Android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Google and Samsung unveiled the device in Hong Kong last month and the device went on sale in few markets earlier this month. The handset is priced at around 429 pounds in the UK.The box is unusually long and has the picture of the device  on the front and sides.A very simplistic design with subtle marketing material. No mention even of the specs on the outside.The unit we got was a Titanium Silver color. The device boasts of a 4.65 inch SuperAMOLED display with a 720p resolution.It is powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage without an expansion slot. There is a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.
