Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphone in India last month for Rs. 57,900. We unboxed it recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is powered by a Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1GHz per core and four ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz per core, similar to the Galaxy S6 and theGalaxy S6 edge. It has Mali T760 MP8 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on the top. Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J2, the company’s latest entry-level 4G smartphone in India. It has a new Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max that let users to allow and block individual apps from using mobile data and save data by enabling data optimization. Ultra Data Saving mode promises up to 50% savings in data across all the content and most apps and also frees up to 11% RAM.

Samsung smartphone codenamed Lucky-LTE surfaced on Geekbench yesterday with Exynos 8890 Octa-Core SoC. Now the same smartphone has surfaced on AnTuTu (Via) with a Snapdragon 820 SoC. This reveals that Samsung is testing both the Exynos 8890 or Exynos M1 with custom CPU cores and Snapdragon 820 on a prototype smartphone that could be Galaxy S7.
