Samsung begins mass production of 256GB UFS 2.0 flash memory for high-end mobile devices

Samsung today announced that it has started mass producing world’s first 256GB ultra-fast embedded flash memory based on Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 standard for next-generation high-end mobile devices, including smartphones. The company introduced the first 128GB UFS 2.0 flash memory back in February last year. UFS 2.0 promises better sequential read and write performance, closer to SSD and 50% decrease in energy consumption. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Lens Cover Hands On and Samples with swappable lenses

Samsung announced several accessories along with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge flagship smartphone, the Lens Cover is one among those. These swappable lenses come in two types – one is the telephoto lens and the other one is a wide-angle lens. These are similar to olloclip that is available for iPhone, but these have better optics and also requires a separate case. Check out our hands-on with these lenses and also some samples.

Samsung has officially announced the Gear 360, its first 360 degree virtual reality camera as expected. It comes with dual fisheye lenses, both of which have 15 megapixel image sensors and can capture high-resolution (3840×1920) 360-degree video that also supports 30 megapixel still images.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge detailed specifications surface in promotional poster

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones at an event tomorrow. Now the specifications of the smartphone have been detailed in a Samsung Pay promotional poster from a Spanish bank La Caixa. Sammobile who got hold of this poster, also reveals that both the smartphones will come with a 12MP rear camera with 1/2.5-inch sensor, at least 1.4-microns, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and powerful 1.5W loudspeaker.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone, along with the Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphone earlier this month for Rs. 29,400. We recently brought you the unboxing, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7580 64-bit processor that has eight ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz per core. It has Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 5.2-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
