Samsung executives will announce the cause of the Galaxy Note7 incidents and quality enhancement plan during a press conference in Seoul, South Korea, on January 23, 2017. A person familiar with the matter told Reuters earlier this week that Samsung’s probe had found the battery was the main cause of Note 7 fires.
Update: Samsung India has announced that consumers who have purchased Galaxy Note7 from overseas need to bring the Invoice to the nearest service center and get a refund basis the invoice value. The validity of it is November 1, 2016.
Earlier: Samsung announced last week that it has permanently discontinued the production and sales of the Galaxy Note7 owing to battery exploding issues.
