Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite with 5.8-inch FHD+ Infinity display, Snapdragon 660 gets certified

Samsung SM-G8750 surfaced in benchmarks last month that revealed Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo for the phone, and according to the rumors it will be called Galaxy S8 mini. Now the phone has been certified by TENAA in China that confirms 5.8-inch FHD+ 18:9 display, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, glass back and a fingerprint next to the camera on the back, same as the Galaxy S8. Samsung PRO Endurance microSD card with 25 times better endurance announced

Samsung has introduced new PRO Endurance microSDHC/microSDXC card that promised  industry-leading endurance and up to 43,8001 hours of continuous video recording. This is targeted to be used in intensive video monitoring applications such as surveillance and security cameras, body cameras and dash cams, making continuous video monitoring fast and stable. It offers up to 100 MB/s read speeds, provides FHD recording and 4K support via write speeds of up to 30 MB/s. Samsung introduces 16MP ISOCELL Slim 3P9 sensor with Tetracell technology for sleek smartphones

Samsung introduced its first 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor (S5K3P3) with 1.0μm-pixel size back in 2015. Today the company has introduced a new 16-megapixel sensor with 1.0μm-pixel size in its ISOCELL Slim 3P9 lineup targeted at sleekly designed smartphones. Samsung Galaxy A6+ with 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, dual rear cameras, 24MP front camera and Galaxy A6 announced

Samsung just announced the Galaxy A6 (SM-A600F) and Galaxy A6+ (SM-A605F) smartphones in the ‘Galaxy A Series’ after several leaks. Both the phones come with Super AMOLED Infinity displays with 18.5:9 screen ratio, but the A6 comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ screen while the A6+ features a 6-inch FHD+ screen. Both the phones have a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, and the A6+ also has a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera with Live Focus mode that lets you control the depth of field and bokeh effect before or even after the shot is taken. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge Android Oreo update said to start rolling out in mid-May

Samsung is on the verge of rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Galaxy Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Samsung Galaxy A6 with 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display surfaces in press images, Galaxy A6+ with 24MP front camera gets certified

Press images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A6+ surfaced last week, and the phone also got certified by Taiwan’s National Communications Commission a few days back, now the phone has been certified by TENAA in China. Press images and detailed specifications of both the Galaxy A6 (SM-A600) and the Galaxy A6+ ( SM-A605) have surfaced. This also reveals Snapdragon 450 SoC for the A6+ and the A6 is said to be powered by Exynos 7870. The A6+ will also come with a 24-megapixel front camera.

It was introduced back in December last year, packs a 5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2GB RAM, runs Android 7.1 (Nougat), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera that also comes with a flash. Samsung reports record profits in Q1 2018, up 58% YoY, mobile profits up 82% YoY

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q1 2018, in which the company has made operating profit of 15.64 trillion won ($14.4 billion), up 58% YoY for the January-March 2018 period. This is a fourth straight record profit, and new all-time high quarterly profit, due to strong sales in Semiconductor Business and the early global launch of the Galaxy S9.

Samsung SM-G8750 and SM-G8850 could launch as Galaxy S8 Lite and Galaxy A8 Star in China

Samsung SM-G8750 surfaced earlier this month, and the SM-G8850 with dual rear cameras got certified in China recently. The phones were believed to be S9 mini, now the same Twitter user who said that SM-G8750 will be called S9 mini, now says that it will be released as Galaxy S8 Lite in China. Even recent Bluetooth certification revealed ‘Lite’ tag for the phone. Earlier Geekbench listing revealed Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo for the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A6+ with 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, dual rear cameras surface in press shots

Earlier this month Galaxy A6 and Galaxy  A6+ smartphones got certified by the FCC. Now the press shots of the Galaxy  A6+ has surfaced, thanks to listing on a Polish site. It shows the phone’s unibody metal design, dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots on the left, loudspeaker grill on the right and front flash.
