Micromax Canvas Fun A76, a new smartphone in the Canvas series and the Bolt A67, a new phone in the Bolt series are now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. The Canvas Fun A76 has a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The Bolt A67 has a 4.5-inch capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (ICS). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Both the phones have a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera and comes with dual SIM support. Intex launched the Aqua I-5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone back in June, that we reviewed  recently. Now a younger brother, Aqua I-4 has been listed on the official Intex website along with the Intex Cloud Y5. Intex launched the Cloud Y2 earlier this month, and the Cloud Y5 has a larger display, but it runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Aqua i-4 has a 5-inch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Cloud Y5 would be powered by a dual-core processor. Micromax has been teasing the upcoming Canvas Doodle 2 A240 on their Facebook page for the past few days, now the smartphone has been listed on Flipkart. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 A240 would have a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It would have with Dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Micromax smartphones. Asus unveiled the Padfone Infinity, the third generation Padfone device back in Feburuary at the MWC 2013. It went on sale in Taiwan back in April. We brought you the unboxing of the device back in June and the benchmarks in July, here we have the complete review of the device. Nokia Lumia 625 launched in India for Rs. 19999


Nokia has officially launched the Lumia 625, the latest Lumia phone in India. It went on pre-order in India online earlier this week. The Lumia 625 was unveiled last month and packs a 4.7-inch  (800 x 480 pixels) LCD display, which is the largest screen on a Lumia phone till date. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS with the latest Amber update. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  It has Nokia Music and Here Maps. Nokia Lumia 925 officially launched in India for a price of Rs. 33,499

We just witnessed the Nokia Lumia 925 go on sale from the official Indian online store for Rs. 34, 169 but curiously, without much fanfare. Well, Nokia has compensated for that now, with their launch event in New Delhi today. Yes, the Nokia Lumia 925 is finally official, and comes with a price tag of a slightly lesser Rs. 33, 499. The latest all rounded flagship from Nokia is aimed at fixing the few hardware problems the Lumia 920 had, for instance, the design, build and weight. Sporting an all new aluminium build with some hardware improvements like the six element camera lens, the Lumia 925 is for people who didn’t want the Lumia 920 because of the bulk or the used up design.It is kind of interesting to see that Nokia has built a nice little portfolio of Windows Phone devices for India with over 12 devices being introduced in the market so far.

Google Keep for Android v2.0 update brings Reminders, new navigation drawer and more

Google has announced that they have stared rolling out a major update (v2.0.35) for the Google Keep app that brings lot of new features including reminders that lets you remind you of important tasks. You can use click the Remind me button from the bottom of any note and choose the type of reminder you want to add. This includes time-based reminders for a specific date and time and location reminder with automatic nearby place suggestions. Google Search for Android got Reminders back in May. Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 Dual SIM announced in China

The just announced Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 Dual SIM join the Finnish company’s feature phone portfolio. Both phones support quad band GSM networks but the Nokia 107 also brings dual SIM support to the mix.

The phones have a 1.8″ 56k TFT display and measure 112.9 x 47.5 x 4.8mm. Internally you’ll also find an FM Radio, LED light that can be used as a flashlight. Intex Cloud X3 Unboxing

Intex was the first company to launch an affordable Android smartphone, the Cloud X3 running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). We have the device for unboxing and review. It is powered by the latest MediaTek MT6572 chip with Mali-400 MP GPU that has integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth. Both the Cloud X1 and the Cloud X2 had a single-core processor. Sadly the Cloud X3 doesn’t have 3G support, but for the affordable price tag of Rs. 3790, it is acceptable. Intex has also launched the the Cloud X4 recently, which has a 3.2MP rear camera and 3G support.

Apple third-party USB charger trade-in program to start in India this month

Apple announced a take back program for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch USB power Adapters earlier this month since there were reports of safety issues with the counterfeit and third party adapters. The program started on 16th August in several countries, now BGR.in has reported that Apple India has confirmed them that the program will begin in India too, later this month. Some Apple premium retailers in Delhi are yet to confirm such offers since they might waiting for some formalities and the parts to ship, says the report.
