Samsung has filed a new patent application for an accessory that is dubbed as “Smart Ring”. According to the patent, the Smart Ring has the ability to control a smartphone, smart TV, or tablet. The patent was published by U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Lava has launched Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3, two new budget smartphones in the Atom series, months after the launch of Iris Atom 2. The Iris Atom has a 4-inch WVGA screen, while the the Atom 3 has a 5-inch FWVGA display. LG had already announced its plans to launch Spirit LTE and G4 Stylus 4G smartphones with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support in India in partnership with Reliance Retail. Now the company has launched the Spirit 4G LTE (LG-442) smartphone in the country. The company said that the new VoLTE and VoWiFi features will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Samsung is rumored to be working on Exynos 8870, a cheaper variant of its Exynos 8 Octa 8890 14nm processor with custom CPU cores and Mali–T880 MP12 GPU. According a weibo user this processor will use the same custom designed CPU cores based on 64-bit ARMv8 architecture, but the maximum clock speed will be slightly reduced compared to the 8890. Samsung has announced Bio-Processor, its latest all-in-one advanced system logic chip for the health-oriented wearables market. The company says that this is the industry’s first all-in-one health solution chip. It has integrated Analog Front Ends (AFE), microcontroller unit (MCU), power management integrated circuit (PMIC), digital signal processor (DSP), and eFlash memory to process the bio-signals it measures without the need of external processing parts. Xolo has launched One HD, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘One’ series. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions. It has dual SIM support, but it has only 3G connectivity and lacks 4G LTE support.
