OnePlus 2020 Screen Technology to be unveiled on January 13

OnePlus has sent out invites in China for introducing new 2020 screen technology on January 13. The company has not revealed any details about the event. Based on rumors we can expect 120Hz refresh rate screen, an upgrade from 90Hz screen its current flagships. OnePlus introduced its OnePlus Concept One with hidden camera technology that uses electrochromic glass on the back and a leather finish at the CES earlier this week. During all of this CES 2020 chaos, OnePlus has revealed that it has been working on a pretty nifty little feature called Optimized charging for its devices. It will protect battery charging capacities and optimize battery drain rates when charged overnight while ensuring the user does not get affected in any way.

After teasing the phone, OnePlus has officially announced OnePlus Concept One, the company’s first concept phone at CES 2020. This is the first phone to use color-shifting glass technology (electrochromic glass technology), allowing it to change transparency and giving it an ‘invisible camera.’, says the company. It has partnered with McLaren for the third time, and the design of the phone draws inspiration from the McLaren’s design ethos and approach. OnePlus announces Bug Bounty program, offers rewards up to $7000

Last year, a security breach in OnePlus systems exposed the credit card details of some customers and recently in another security breach, OnePlus customers’ names, emails, and shipping addresses have been exposed. Following the incidents, OnePlus has now announced its partnership with the security platform HackerOne and has also announced a new bug bounty program.

OnePlus Concept One to be unveiled at CES 2020 in January

Last week OnePlus confirmed that it will hold a special event at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas next month. Today OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on weibo confirmed that the company will introduce its first concept smartphone, which it calls OnePlus Concept One will be introduced at the event between January 7th and 10th, 2020. He said that it will be a futuristic device, but did not say how it will look. The company is celebrating its sixth anniversary since the launch of the first OnePlus One smartphone. OnePlus has pushed another incremental update to the OnePlus 7T, bringing the version number to 10.0.7. The update brings certain bug fixes, improvements to RAM management and updates the Android security patch to 2019.11.
